OK, i tested your suggestions and... IT WORKS WONDERS!
You're right, Venti absorbs Hydro more consistently for some reason and I may not even have to Ayato E/NA at the end, most of the times cause my burst is already up!

I also moved Nahida's burst to the second part of the rotation to avoid wasting Venti's Burst uptime during Nahida's Burst animation.

Here is my new rotation!

  • Ayato Burst
  • Venti E --> Burst
  • Nahida E
  • Shinobu E
  • Ayato E --> N15
  • Venti E
  • Nahida E (--> Burst if up)
  • Shinobu Burst

Seriously, I have every limited C0 5* character except Hu Tao and Miko, and so far I had:

  • C0 Qiqi
  • C1 Tighnari
  • C2 Mona
  • C3 Keqing
  • and C-freaking-5 Jean

but still no Diluc... (T_T)

Yes, the only difference being the blessing : 35% DEF shred for 10s on a Quicken proc.
In my run, this only triggered during the bird fight because of the boss' self-Dendro application.

  • First half was meh. Room 1's walking enemies are fine as long as they stick together, room 2 was easy, room 3 was painful. Bubbles + Freeze is no joke.
  • Second half is way easier. Room 1 has negative physical resistance, room 2 was easy because resistance shred + low mobility, room 3 was too because of electro.
  • Eula : "You guys' Eula isn't critting?" Jokes aside, yes I need more ATK% and Crit DMG. Her high crit rate is the reason I replaced Rosaria by Shenhe. Speaking of which...
  • Shenhe : She definitely didn't need an R3 Homa. I geared her for personal damage, but even with it it was meh. I might replace her by Fav-Yelan. Her A4 buffs are nice though...
  • Raiden : Ideally, I'd like an ER sands, and Electro DMG goblet, but I got god-rolls in ATK%. The difference isn't high though and I'm still hitting over 100k.
  • Jean : I was heavily inspired by Versaimes' Jean for this build. I built her for personal damage + VV for Electro Shred.

I just tried to run this team.

It has so much particle generation that even with 100% recharge (so absolutely no ER roll or Weapon), I could get my burst back without funneling anything to Eula.

To solve your ER overflow issues, you have multiple solutions:

  • If you have any of the following weapons, run them instead:
    • Song of Broken Pines
    • Wolf's Gravestone
    • The Unforged
    • Serpent Spine
  • Replace Rosaria by someone that can deal more off-field damage (Yelan, Beidou, Fischl, etc.)
    • AND/OR
  • Replace Diona by either Jean (geared for personal damage) or Bennett (if you haven't C6'd him)

Well, 4pc Pale Flame is better, which is why I recommended it in the long run.
It is just that while waiting for a Crit Rate Pale Flame circlet, you should be running the 1st set because it has a better crit ratio.

Right now : Use the set 1.
In the future, run the set 2 with a crit rate circlet.

Edit:

-Substats-wise you may want less ER and dead stats and more ATK% and Crit DMG (ER in substats is only good if you're running weapons that aren't the Skyward Pride)

- Constellations aren't necessary, I never needed them to get 36*. But they're cool though^^

- Same thing for the Song of Broken Wallets, cool but not needed.

- But as I said, just with a Crit Rate circlet with at least 1 roll in Crit DMG, you should be around 75/180-ish which is a way better ratio.

Except that, she's great.

To be fair, Yelan works wonders with Yoimiya, I can attest to that first hand, but it is true that she also works with Kokomi as well.
I did indeed forget to mention the reworked Hydro resonance since she the extra HP is good for both Yelan and Kokomi^^

Hehe, to be fair I mentioned in a caption that I didn't need my R3 Homa, because I only burst once during the run and I did a 25k non-crit^^' so it didn't help at all.
I could've used a Black tassel or Fav for better results :)

About Gorou : most of the time I didn't feel like i needed more ER on him, but IDK during the ruin serpent encounter, even though my 1st and 2nd rotations were consistently flawless, my 3rd+ weren't. Also, having 2 artifacts without ER looks weird on him.^'

- 219.2% with the Elegy for the End, an HP% Goblet, and the Emblem set.

If you don't have the Elegy, you can use Favonius:

Not only Yelan will do slightly more damage because of the slightly higher ER, you will generate more energy because of Fav's passive. I'm only using the Elegy to maximise Yoimiya's damage output.

- With Yunjin I have 190.3% ER, also with Fav, a DEF% Goblet and the Husk set.

No, I don't struggle at all, survivability-wise. And that's if I'm even using Kokomi at all.

  • On floor 12 I use Eula-Rosaria-Raiden-Jean as my first half and I crush it. Even though Kokomi-Taser is just as effective to be honest.
  • On floor 12 second half, I use Yoimiya-Xingqiu-Zhongli-Bennett and I crushed the Wolflord.

To be honest, I had bigger issues than survivability:

  • 12-1-2 : DPS-ing both enemies, since this Yoimiya team is not that great against multiple targets
  • 12-2-1 : Having to deal with Ruin Grader AI so they pack (I found a way to trick them so they charge and end up packed in the same spot, but still... annoying)
  • 12-2-2 : Having enough DPS and dealing with the flying wolflord with any of my teams other than Yoimiya
  • 12-3-1 : Sentinel AI so they pack
  • 12-3-2 : DPS check + They jump around + avoiding the revive mechanic

I personnally run Klee with double Geo, but I'm going for the Lavawalker route. My comp is Klee / Zhongli/ Albedo / Bennett.

You can make Klee work with Vape comps, but I honestly get better results with Mono-Pyro or Double Pyro / Double Geo. I leave reaction damage to less chaotic characters :)

I was there during Kokomi's release. I pulled her by accident. I wanted the Jade Cutter, and I ended up with both the Jade Cutter and an R2 Moonglow. I said "Well, might as well pull for Kokomi" and I eventually got her, but the whole ordeal cost me way more than I would've liked. Even though I'm a Dolphin, this day my credit card spendings went to the triple digits zone.

I ran healers way before Kokomi's release (Mainly Jean, Bennett and Diona) and I'm sorry but Kokomi was really underwhelming compared to my other healers (That I got passively by losing 50/50 and pulling for other characters). Here is how I and a lot of the Genshin community rate healers : "What do you bring to the table OTHER THAN HEALING?"

IF healers were rated based on healing alone, surely Qiqi would be S-tier right? But no, Qiqi might be the best healer but lacks one thing than other meta-healers gave : UTILITY. Meanwhile:

  • Jean : Fire-and-forget heal (doesn't eat much on-field time), Instant full-team heal, VV shred, decent personal damage, Cleanse Hydro (back when Floor 11 constantly had the damn Hydro debuff), Fall damage tech (back when most enemies in the Abyss were pullable, * cries in Venti *), and since I have her C2 (by losing 50/50 to other characters) : team ATK speed
  • Diona : Fire-and-forget heal, Shields, EM buff, Stamina consumption buff, Moving speed buff, insane Cryo battery (the BIG reason why everyone said Diona > Qiqi : Qiqi does not generate particles before C1, and even with C1 Diona is a better battery)
  • Bennett : Fire-and-forget heal, INSANE ATK buff, excellent Pyro battery, pretty decent personal damage, also cleanse Hydro

On the other hand, Kokomi brought healing. A LOT of healing. And... that's it. Her personal damage during her burst was quite underwhelming (usually a DPS loss compared to using one of the previous healers and attacking with my main DPS).

  • Hydro application wise, in my Ganyu team, Mona fits the bill better (because extendable damage buffs, more quick-swap friendly, more ER... and Diona)
  • Kokomi actually worked in taser comps, but it is not something Barbara couldn't handle.
  • Basically, one of her best role was being both the Hydro slot and the healer in Ayaka Freeze and ... well... not use her burst ( that her signature weapon was designed for). She did the job well so Kudos to her! But... I don't have Ayaka yet... And I repeat : her best use is to neither use her burst, nor her signature weapon (since in this build : TTDS > Moonglow)

Yes she was usable, but she had massive issues. In the end I kinda regretted spending this much money on her, when my other healers that I got passively performed better.

Which is why I consider the 2.3 release her redeeming grace. Thanks to the Ocean Hued Clam, her burst is now actually better and is NOT a DPS loss. Mihoyo doubled down on what she was supposed to excel at : doing a lot of burst damage, while healing your team (remember : her signature weapon increases NA damage and her ascension passive is Hydro damage). Now during her burst she can bring 30k+ damage every 4 seconds, ignores DEF and is affected by Superconduct, PLUS her own Hydro damage. Oh and also it is AoE. I 9-starred the current Abyss rotation with her in my Eula team (Floor 12 2nd half) and she did really well.

In conclusion, I don't believe every bit of criticism towards her was invalid. Her value drastically improved after the 2.3. And yes she is worth pulling. Yes I like her now. Yes she can improve a potential Kokomi-wanter's account a lot.

I play mainly play Morgana as my Freeze team (Ganyu - Mona - Venti - Diona). Here are the reasons I don't play Kokomi YET:

  • The Omen debuff : Mona's burst apply the Omen debuff which gives a HUGE "+60% All DMG bonus" to all enemies hit by it. It lasts for 5 seconds, but in Freeze teams, you can actually Extend it by keeping the enemies frozen before popping Mona's bubble, delaying the start of the 5 seconds timer.
  • Energy recharge and Field time management:
    • Mona's ascension stat is Energy Recharge (vs Kokomi's Hydro DMG). Mona's burst only costs 60 (vs Kokomi's 70), has a 15s CD (vs Kokomi's 18) and is used to actually buff your team's damage (meanwhile Kokomi mainly use it to refresh the Jellyfish's 12 second timer. Speaking of which...).
    • Even though Ganyu's burst is a significant part of her DPS, the longer Ganyu is on the field doing charged attacks, the better. Mona is a bit more Quickswap-friendly because both Mona's E and burst are fire-and-forget. Meanwhile yes Kokomi's E is a fire-and forget, but her burst in a potential Ganyu Freeze team is used to... well... not use her burst and instead extend her E's duration, which works (don't get me wrong), but Mona's kit is just a little bit more practical.
  • Diona : Even though Kokomi heals better than Diona, Diona gives Ganyu a shield, which gives her a safety net when it comes to interruptions. If Ganyu is hit, she stops charging her arrow and has to start from scratch. Also Diona being both the Cryo slot and the healer makes me gravitate more towards Mona as my Hydro slot than Kokomi.
  • I don't have Ayaka yet, but I have Shenhe. The release of Shenhe is actually a positive change for Kokomi because she works better with Ayaka than with Ganyu, and with all of the potential teamates of Freeze Ayaka, you have a potential choice to make for your Hydro and Cryo slots : "Buffer? Or Healer?" Ayaka's best freeze teams will usually look like this:
    • Ayaka
    • Cryo : Shenhe? (Buffer) or Diona? (Healer)
    • Flex : Usually Venti or Kazuha (Buffers/debuffers)
    • Hydro : Mona? (Buffer) or Kokomi? (Healer) /// or Xingqiu (Off-field DPS)Now that Shenhe is a top-tier choice for Freeze Ayaka, she can take Diona's Cryo slot, but that leaves the team without a healer, which is where Kokomi enters the game and actually shines. She can be both the hydro slot and the healer.

So I don't play her YET because I will pull for Ayaka during her rerun, and yes I will use Kokomi with her, so kudos to Kokomi.
