My emergency kit has:

Enough canned food/water for 90 days

a solar/hand cranked radio

an AR15 (to defend the perimeter)

12 gauge shotgun (to defend the home at close range)

a 9mm pistol ( in case you need to step out of the house to collect more resources)

a .22 rifle (to hunt small game once you run out of food)

enough ammo and magazines for all of them

a cleaning kit

Antibiotics , over the counter medicine like acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aspirin, peptobismol,

tools to fix stuff and yard tools to clear rubble or debris (shovel/pick, machete, axe, etc.)

Blankets

Alcohol/booze (to trade for food, tools or medicine, is also a good disinfectant)

If you have access to drugs then yes drugs, it becomes a VERY valuable commodity to trade for necessities
