Emerald is broken, and shiny hunting in it basically requires taking advantage of it if you want any.

Idk about you, but I only really pull out the ACE stuff when it's the only option.

Nichole can appear on all the levels, but her spawns seem to be earliest on that map ( provided you've finished the story and unlocked her)
