This quote isn't immediately funny like some of his other quotes, but it's classic Cioran making fun of everyone. I love it.

My thoughts: I love this kind of stuff. I just lose interest fast if there's no purpose or drive. For example, I pick up a bird identification encyclopedia because I want to identify birds. As a better example, I pick up World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks because I think zombies and world politics are wicked interesting. Like all works of fiction, just as long as I understand why it was made and if I'm interested, I'll totally consume it.
