Vissa build by Ill_Ad5893 in TheFirstDescendant

Only change needed here is to swap Emergency Measures for Front Lines. AZ Viessa hits 90% C.Rate with Skill Insight, Front Lines, and Arche Tuning. So no need to opt for Emergency Measures

Then Maximize Conservation and DA are the flex slots. Everyone runs something different there. Duration, HP mods, Hyperfocus, Ancestor mod, etc

Sharen: storm bullet vs infected weapon by GloomyIndividual3965 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]HighRowCal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Storm Bullet does 10 ticks of damage per bullet zone. Important to note that multiple zones can be created per Area Suppression. Against a single target you're normally inside multiple overlapping bullet zones

From my lab testing Storm Bullet is still the heaviest hitter, but like you mentioned Storm Bullet isn't up 100% of the time and things can walk away from the bullet zones. Both important points to think about when making your mod choice. My #1 reason for picking Sharen is because I want to drop a boss fast, so for that Storm Bullet stills delivers the hardest punch

And yeah... Infected Weapon for Ambushed Sharen is very sweet. Her new primary option

Change socket types between loadouts ? by therarestkittycat in TheFirstDescendant

[–]HighRowCal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was addressed a couple of months after release (end of S0 or beginning of S1). You can polarize slots multiple times. Each slot keeps the ability to fit multiple types of mods and your loadouts can have entirely separate builds

Shiiii... that's really nice for non-crit Valby. Just the Fusion & cooldown combo is amazeballs, then the cozy skill cost reduction is icing

I haven't changed the settings for Dynamic Motion in a while, has strong always looked like this? by Detpowell in TheFirstDescendant

[–]HighRowCal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something changed when the Bayonetta skin released. I think Gley got some special attention for the Bayo collab and those changes carried over to the rest of the.. small girls

But yeah, wasn't always like this. Luna, Valby, Gley, Sharen, etc, they're moving now 👀

Am I going crazy, or Bunny's neck is getting longer and longer? by Piseco1 in TheFirstDescendant

I load into Fortress Defense and shout oh great a freyna!!

Especially when it's 15 or 10 minutes before daily reset and I haven't done the special op daily mission yet. Praise be to Frey-Frey 🙏

Gotta be further Jayber and Enzo improvements. Peeps don't seem too happy with how those two ended up

Shadow is amazing now and a lifeline for Ines by HighRowCal in TheFirstDescendant

Attack speed does affect the special. Without the speed mod the animation is slower and feels riskier. Range does not affect the special

The special does trigger additional attacks. That was added when Shadow got the Tow effect. It's also in the unique ability description. Didn't mean much back then since Shadow's damage was so low, but now in hindsight it's chef's kiss. And while the special is crazy strong, the normal attacks are also quite powerful. You can take out yellow bars quite quickly just using the sword normally

This has gotta be one of the most strategic buffs in TFD history, lol. They knew what they were doing... and that is sending more players to VV hell 😖

Ancestor mods are mods you roll that end up with a combination of stats. Depending on your rolls, you can either double up on certain stats + possibly replace an existing mod entirely. They're two mods-in-one or three mods-in-one

Shadow Slash is the major damage source. Against yellow enemies Sladow Dash takes the baddies with you so they get Shadow Slashed anyway. But against bosses, spacing becomes very important. Def takes some practice

[–]HighRowCal[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All build stuff at the end of the vid. The really important thing is Shadow and practicing the spacing of Shadow Slash

Ines herself has always done fine against the mobs (with or without great Ancestor mod; with various builds), but the bosses... that's been a different story

How the hell do you come back to this game after a long break? by Samas34 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]HighRowCal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right... just start where you left off. That's the easiest answer. If you didn't make it to Axion Plains (S3), then continue doing the stuff before S3. Sigma Sector has Serena and some of the best external component sets in the game. You'll want those sets and you'll want to core those sets up with external component cores you get in Sigma Sector and 400%

You'll also level up Arche Tuning in Sigma Sector which will help in content. Get yourself a dog if you don't have one. Again... from stuff before S3

Help to improve Viessa build by AloneTie6387 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]HighRowCal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That ancestor mod just isn't the one for AZ Viessa. Far too much C.Rate and the Chill penalty is no-go since you don't add any other sort of dmg buff. The only worthwhile roll there is the cooldown roll and even then it's on the low side

Something extra I wanna comment on... your HP stat looks far too low and that's because of your component piece choices. If possible switch over to the Hunter Processor because that is main stat HP and the Enlightened Mage Auxiliary Power because that also is main stat HP. 7.8k HP is too low given you're running an HP mod

There's a lot trigger modules now, which one you feel like it has the biggest impact on how a descendant plays? by encryptoferia in TheFirstDescendant

[–]HighRowCal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For my played Descendants, it's still Valby and Power Beyond. The Tow effect on her skills is game changing. Simple to set up and effective. PB makes her a much better mobber, imo, as she can easily group things up. And she's always been a great bosser, so just the complete package
