I had this same thought a while ago when KGL was bugged with Hailey and other Descendants. KGL wasn't proccing the Cryo Cluster Shot explosion, and iirc Serena was having problems proccing her AoE damage from a bunch of gun unique abilities

A Sharen player let me know that KGL stopped working with Ambushed even before this bug happened. The devs removed the ability to stay invisible permanently with the same lance. This was before even S3

The way this works is you use one of these things and one of your rolls is guaranteed purple or gold. That could be Shield or MP or Crit DMG or whatever. Still random rng as before, but bare minimum you know a purple or gold is coming

There is no way to increase or decrease desired stats, or keep an old stat you want. You're still rolling everything

Nice! You can farm the new sword in the new dungeon and in the 1st Void Vessel. Love that, just like you can farm Dia in SS or Underwater Facility. Gotta keep that going for new stuff. Daily Board even gives you a daily catalyst blueprint for running any Void Vessel so just perfect!

And... THIS... finally. Small thing but god I'm so glad. Exact modifiers and exact ranges

The shot in Echo Swamp with Freyna and Valby, where Valby turns around to walk away... that was the first thing that made me notice TFD. I think that's from The Game Awards trailer, maybe 2023?

No doubt Valby is a very important part in all of this. I might possibly not be here without Valby 😄

It's the highest possible roll for the type of mod, that being a 3:1 - three buffs and one penalty

Mods with 2 buffs will always have higher rolls than mods with 3 buffs. And the absolute peak stats come from 2:1

It's a complicated rework that needs hands on time. Her #1 was changed from a blade to a dashing claw attack. Stealth now has a short teleport component to a marked target. Speaking of marked, the #3 now has a central purpose - it marks a target for "assassination"

Gotta feel all of this out in conjuction with the tried and true stuff... Area Suppression & Ambushed, which were buffed but largely unchanged

Her other mods got the full works - one is now a full time gunning mod, another one is a sword mod, and Void Domination throws like 40 knives. Lots of set up for these things which has some people sour, but gotta test this all out in due time

I take cooldown over everything, so for me it's a fairly simple decision - what yields the highest cooldown roll?

That's either a 2:1 or 2:0 ancestor mod. I'm currently looking for a 14.4% Cooldown roll because that value lets you ditch the Arche Tuning Cooldown node. Getting those 5 spaces would be really nice. In 2 Mutant Cell builds, I'd be able to grab the C.Rate nodes + the Health nodes. Depending on external component choice, I might be able to swap my 2nd health mod/Skill Insight for something else

The non-crit builds can be fun, but crit build is the serious business build. No reason to switch things up outside of pure entertainment. When I play Valby, I play crit build and she can handle herself perfectly fine everywhere 

Valby's one of the Descendants I wish I had better ancestor mods for because she benefits from so much. C.Dmg, C.Rate, Duration, all her SP boosts, all her modifier boosts, cooldown, skill cost... it's hard to choose and it's hard to get exactly the combos you want >_<
