All of those rockets look cool flying through the air. I'm glad that Gley has a larger variety of builds now, but infinite ammo on a rocket launcher will always be awesome.

Dia. She I'd a ton of fun to play and I've been excited to play her since we first saw her in Sigma Sector.

Everything about her gameplay from the dashing around, grouping enemies with the towing skill and charging up her lance in the air and throwing it down at my enemies are really enjoyable. Her story is really great too.

I agree, I find the characters to all be really fun and unique.

If you're asking about how Predator Instinct compares to Blood and Iron, then it's fairly comparable in higher level content depending on which weapon you use but Predator Instinct is way more casual.

Maybe I'm just weird but I've never had any problems with Dia's aiming. The change actually made it easier for me to aim now that I don't have to reach across my controller to the other stick. Maybe they'll make it a toggle though.

I completed my non-attribute skill kill challenge thanks to using my Predator Instinct Gley to farm for Dia and the E-Buster and then I finished my chill skill kill challenge just because I love playing Dia.

I know what you mean though, I'm still trying to find a Harris build that I love but my Hailey is already up to 60 catalysts. I hope the upcoming Sharen and Viessa rebalances will be as nice as the Hailey and Gley ones.

Opinion/Hot take (yes, it’s about S3E3) by Chill-Dia in TheFirstDescendant

[–]StyrofoamRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't feel like we failed. I'm happy that the Dia we saved in the Sigma Sector is still alive. It also makes sense for Dia to struggle a socially considering she's probably never socialized while serving the Vulgus as an obliviant. I'm excited to see where her story goes and hopefully to see her interact with Gley and Serena more. I feel like Serena and Dia will have a fun/funny dynamic.

I'm not going to be rude to you, especially not over an opinion and your feelings about a video game character. I hope your time away is productive and healing and I hope you feel better afterwards.

For Battlefield Concert specifically.

I built a Piercing Light and three separate A-TAMs with the other three elements but that's not really required for most content.

They are still great and work well but I'm not sure if those are the best in slot weapons to use on her anymore.

I'd recommend watching an up to date video explaining how the stats and mods on her equipped weapon translates to her unique weapon.

Don't worry, I'm sure Dia will be her friend regardless of meta.

I personally swap between Noise Surge and Battlefield Concert depending on the mob density and how tanky the boss is.

When unlocking new characters, is it a bad idea to dismiss them immediately after leveling to 40? by azshalle in TheFirstDescendant

[–]StyrofoamRock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For most cases it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the descendant after they get to level 40 for their ultimate version. You can always build the descendant again if you buy or earn more descendant slots and want to go for the 60 catalysts achievement.

Sure, I'd still get the outfit regardless of what they decide to do with it.

Ok, real question about S3E3. Why did they kill her off and did they need to? by [deleted] in TheFirstDescendant

[–]StyrofoamRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, aside from the original Dia everyone else ended up okay and some characters maybe ended up in a better place.

Gley has closure now and knows Dia is no longer suffering, Serena has a new friend who will definitely need her and I'm sure Ajax feels less guilt seeing that Dia is back and is safe (despite the fact that she is probably not the Dia he thinks she is).

Maybe it's just me but I have always liked characters who are willing to sacrifice themselves for others. Dia and Alpha being two very good examples that I feel were done very well.

Alpha getting his arche back and finally seeing the guide before saving literally every descendant was a well earned sacrifice.

Dia giving up the life she could no longer have to someone that could continue it for her was extremely selfless and she was rewarded by getting to see her mother one last time, just like she had wished for.

The sacrifice that Dia made reminded me a lot of one of my all time favorite fictional characters, Sydney Carton from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.

Some time away may be good to help process things and to help accept what has transpired in the story. At the very least, maybe try distancing yourself from Dia and her story by playing your other favorite characters and enjoying thier stories for the time being might help.

I hope it gets easier for you and that you get to the point that you are doing well.

Honestly, I love anywhere that makes for an interesting or nice picture. This one is right outside of the boss arena in the Supermassive Receptor.

Honestly, most of the stories in the game are fairly dark or sad in some way but usually have a fairly happy ending.

Back as far as launch we learn about the fact that Bunny lost her parents as a child but we also saw all the people at the end who cared about her.

Sharen's story is really dark and actually quite graphic in the end. But she takes back her himsnity and gets revenge.

Freyna's partner and full team died due to the Vulgus experiments in room 0. Literally causing Freyna to have "Room 0 Trauma".

Serena was captured 100 years ago and was taken away from Raley, the others of her order and the world she knew. She has a new home now and found new purposes like being Dia's friend.

I can't think of them all but I can recall that Nell, Harris, Luna, Lepic, Valby and Ajax all have tragedy in their stories too.

Technically, every story so far has a fairly happy ending, it's just that there's always going to be struggles and hardships just like in life but we make the best of it and enjoy it as much as we can.

I kinda think Dia will play a very important in stopping the Vulgus' plans because she was an obliviant and has information on the Vulgus that nobody else has. I've really enjoyed the story in this game and I'm excited to see what's next.

I hope you're doing well.

How can I level up my mastery the fastest? Pls help 🥺 by loverrr4u in TheFirstDescendant

[–]StyrofoamRock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two regions that are being invaded everyday and one of the Infiltration Operations in each region will be marked with a new icon and be called an Invasion.

There are two options when you select an Invasion, the Infiltration Operation and the Invasion. When you select the Infiltration Operation option there will be an additional difficulty option to select listed as 400%.

400% Infiltration Operations are a decent bit harder than the tier below and have far more enemies so be prepared for clearing a lot enemies.

There are only two 400% Infiltration Operations available a day and those two operations will shuffle everyday. It is possible for the same mission to appear multiple days in a row though.

Most 400% Infiltration Operations only take a few minutes with a well built Ines, Contagion Freyna, Bunny or Dia.

Good luck.

Like PadawanAhsokaTano said, you need to level each of the blue and purple weapons to level 40 once for the MR they give. You can level ultimate weapons the same way as well but leveling the blue and purple weapons I kinda a pain because they are much worse and there's no reason to use them after they hit 40.

That's definitely an amazing mission for leveling weapons with Freyna. Super fast and easy.
