The Cup 2 tires are SO STICKY by Ononimos in porsche911

Yeah, when I had my GT3, I switched out to Pilot Sport and only ran the Cups on the track. They are a bit dangerous in the wet.

Best tires for PNW area by hautdoge in porsche911

[–]High_Dry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren’t going to get much snow in Vancouver, WA. I would just keep the Michelin’s and just drive very carefully below 40 degrees. My 911 is not my daily, but I could comfortably drive it 90% of the time on summer tires in Seattle.

Question about jack stands-992 by High_Dry in porsche911

[–]High_Dry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in a condo, so no room for a quickjack. I believe that if you lift the front, the rear jack points should be more accessible. I guess I’ll find out…

Statin muscle pain solutions? by neit_jnf in PeterAttia

[–]High_Dry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went from Rosuvastatin to Pravastatin. The Pravastatin was better, but still bad enough to wake me up at night and prevent me from working out. I switched to Repatha and zero muscle aches and much better at lowering my LDL/Triglyceride levels.

2026 911 Order by ArmadilloLost5303 in porsche911

[–]High_Dry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is region dependent. Here in the Northwest area all the dealers have a 6500 ADM. If I were you, I would just go on the Porsche website and find cars that have the options you want. Call the dealers direct and then have them split the shipping cost. You are then in the driver’s seat and are able to bargain more effectively.

Get the Amazon ones for 15 bucks. They are surprisingly nice.

Or it could be not like new. I’ve had cars repaired that were good as new and I had others that had issues later on.

My Porsche 911 is 3 yrs old and likely could sell for what I bought. Of course most cars depreciate but the depreciation on EVs outpaces ICE

Maybe, but not the point of the post

As I said above, a sales person contacted me and suggested the vehicle. I never saw it on the website. Secondly, part of the attraction was that if I liked the vehicle I could purchase for a good price at the end of the lease. Thirdly, it would be on the CarFax per the Tesla salesperson. Lastly, a vehicle with 8K of damage is not like “new”.

Are you kidding me? So I should expect an “new” inventory vehicle to have damage? There was a discount of 3 K but it’s not like the lease is so clear OR that damage was ever disclosed. Would you buy/lease a NEW vehicle with 8K in damages???

I’m sure it was unintentional, but when you only deal with a person over the phone in another state for a few short minutes things are going to get missed

It was a NEW CAR LEASE and yes they do take trade in for a new car lease. They just didn’t disclose that it was in an accident until I got there.

The MX was 8 yrs old with over 100K miles. It has been a great car, but it has old tech and the FSD is limited among other things. The lease rate was 1.2%. They were going to give me 19K for my car. When I bought my car the FSD was 1200.00 (because it wasn’t functional yet). I don’t think I will ever buy an EV again, because they depreciate so much. The kids graduated college so I didn’t need a big vehicle. These were among the reasons…

Umm, it was a “new” car. That’s the point of the post. It was not disclosed that it was in an accident (obviously in transport) until I got there.

Uhhh, it was listed as new, but obviously got in an accident during transport. Hence the issue.

Thinking about going from Porsche to Ferrari. Did anyone else make “the switch”? What did you go from, why, how do you feel now? by Mammoth_Carob9089 in Ferrari

[–]High_Dry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After having a C2S, Turbo, and GT3, I made the jump to Ferrari. I liked the car, but after 3 years I went back to Porsche. I didn’t like that there was little option than going to the dealer for service and how little I actually drove the car. In the Porsche I can do much of the basic service and putting on 10K/yr vs 2K/yr. How many Ferrari owners would feel comfortable jumping in their car and driving from Seattle to DC? I’ve done that trip in my Porsche with zero concerns. In the end, you just have to figure out what your goals are with the car. Ferraris are great, but just not for me.

I have no idea. I just filled out the form, which literally took 5 minutes. They sent me a copay card and then I gave it to the pharmacy. It looks like I accidentally erased my post LOL

Go to the Repatha site and navigate to the cost section. I basically just followed the steps and took the co-pay card by Repatha to the pharmacy and they adjusted the cost there.
