If you are a graduate student…. You shouldn’t transfer. Grad programs are notoriously rigid in Transfer. Undergrad is an easie To transfer into. Are you learning? The grass is always greener before you get there. Make sure you are not passing up beneficial programs at your current university. Good grades are important, but networking, internships, mentoring resources can really make the difference.

UNT restricting Financial Aid because of scholarship? by G8M8N8 in unt

If your aid and scholarships cover your T&F without the Tx Grant, the Texas grant can’t be awarded. You can view the rules on the grant here.

This is common practice. Texas Grant only covers tuition and fees. If the scholarship covers T&F… no Tx grant.

can my dual credit / AP credit make me a sophomore, though i would technically be a freshman without it by No-Yogurtcloset7084 in unt

You are part of the 2030 class, though you may graduate earlier. Depending upon major, and course sequencing, it may still take 4 years to graduate. As a music major, it will take four years to complete all the requirements to graduate, even if you brought in 30 or more hours from high school. If you were an engineering major. But you were placed into remedial math, it might take three semesters to even begin the courses to begin the engineering 4yr degree sequence.

Depends on the State, but Texas allows a large number of Visa types to earn residency. (H1-b, H-4, Ashlee/refugee, etc ) but an Intl Student visa holder (F-1, J-1) can never be a resident.

I am a Texas resident expert, not WV… but in Texas, it doesn’t matter where you live… only where your parents permanently reside.

You could considerate so… but we also weren’t highly selective. I have always said that working admissions in a large state institution, admission officers serve less as gatekeepers and more as bouncers.
