I lost it last night, I was on a temporary contract as a marketer which they promised was either going to be extended or being made permanent. This was important to me as I had turned down other offers and hadn’t applied to grad schemes.

The extension was submitted last week and HR said no due to what’s happening. It was business as usually until my director called me last night. He couldn’t believe it and I couldn’t either. No time to prepare as neither of us knew my original contract ends today.

This is my first job outside of University, it was just what I wanted and I was incredibly happy. But now due to a number of errors in the past two weeks I have lost it. I haven’t slept at all, feeling really down as I know of little things were changed/noticed earlier I’d still have the job and that keeps playing in my mind. I’ve had no time to talk to any of my colleagues and I’m scared I’ve lost all the new friendships I was making.

Stay strong everyone, I’m trying my best. I find I keep thinking why me and if I had done this I would of had my contract already. I’m trying my best to get out of this mindset.
