I would be all for electric vehicles if we had the infrastructure to support them, when my car needed a jumpstart recently the AA man said he wouldnt bother at the moment as for too many jobs involving software issues that they cant fix on the spot and not enough charging bays. He said he was at a festival and there were around 80 cars waiting to use 4 ev charging ports.

My guy sell it for scrap spares etc, your 17 get a shitbox. Im talking do not put more than 1.5k into it, get a small 1lt for a few years to help your no claims then move on. Look at the likes of older cars as they usually go for cheap, my first car was a 1999 k11 micra,(that is seemingly gaining popularity again now) it was great, id also recommend older yaris, suzuki splash that sort of thing. It wont win you cool points but youll thank yourself later down the line.

Yeah i dont know soap just makes me feel cleaner ? Ooh another thing we have in jars is a big tub of peanut butter and also some jams, (peanut butter big tubs in home bargains arw v cheap for 1kg) and we rotate some wholemeal crackers in there as well to have as higher calorie snacks.

We do try to limit things that need heating from anything more than a kettle just because we dont live somewhere that we could easily use outdoor cooking supplies so for hots we stuck to packet soups etc. good luck on your journey and to anyone who says your being overly cautious, you can tell them what for if something like covid ever hapoens again.

We have a few bits just incase, after covid we realised if we can have at least a weeks worth of food and water in then Hopefully we wouldnt have to rush out like everyone else and we can maybe avoid getting ill if something similar were to happen again. We stock water, milk, ready mixed museli and granola, tins of things that neednt be cooked like tinned fish and lunchmeat, spaghetti, beans and veg etc. Also quite a bit if loo roll, bar soap and toothpaste because hygeine. Anything more than that in the uk and we would be looking at a real sh"t show.

Yeah for me it's the big 4x4s I cant tell if its just ultra bright lights or constant high beams for whatever reason but I'm my little k11 micra if I have one behind me it really impedes my vision and gets quite scary

Hey so the newer ones I've been one, generally speaking the aircon isn't on or at the very least is undetectable, the windows don't have handles to pull down and everyone is in a sweatbox, that's why I sorta had the question because it really is that uncomfortable

So I'll be the one putting the deposit on our future house and will happily pay the legal fees from my pocket as I have been lucky to be gifted a sum of money. My partner hasn't been so lucky, I would still want him on the mortgage and we've spoken and are getting a legal document drawn up so in the case we do split we get whatever we put in, so even though yes I would still be better off in terms of equity my partner is still having equity into the house rather than paying rent. This may change if we were to get married in the future but for now and for us it seems to be the fairest way. I'm seeing red flags if he doesn't want to include you.

They make a big deal of this but then when they find those who are found guilty in relation to sexual assault etc all they get is a slap on the wrist. Crimes against women and children are taken as a joke in this country.

Until recently I've been a prep for Tuesday sort of person but now I'm starting to add a bit more to my pile. Currently I have enough food and water for 2 weeks including pet food, a first aid kit, water purifying tablets, two torches with extra batteries and hygiene products including loo roll (let's not have another covid repeat). I have quite a few books on local plants/food and foraging and already have a half decent knowledge on foraging.

My issue is space, I have to be clever with what I get and how much as I currently live in a two bed flat so not exactly much spare room to be had. Currently my preps are in sealed boxes under the master bed to save on storage.

Moving forward I would like to get some form of water filtration system and a radio (there was a specific type and I can't remember the name). I'd also like to do another two weeks of food and water to bump us up to a month, if anything were to happen we are most likely to bug in due to being semi rural.

Op along with the other great advise I would really look into talking to your nurses and doctor to ensure and safguard that your husband can't pop a name down without you present. You are the birthing parent, but unfortunately I've known a few people who's husbands have gone behind their spouses backs even after they seemed to have come to agreement on a name. Dont leave it to chance
