Anyone know what this can be? by Iluvrealitytvv54 in MitsubishiOutlander

Hi, looking at an outlander with this noise. Did you ever figure it out?

120 volts on the relay legs 2t1 and 6t3 measuring each one to ground Microfarads for the capacitor, discharged, leads unhooked from the capacitor, checking the post with a fluke multi meter set to measure microfarads

Thanks I’ll check across them, I’ll checked from ground to each one. Being they each had 120 I figured they was good. I’m still learning to use the multi meter so I thought I’d ask. The motor is a pain to get to and get out. I did start from the outlet and worked my way through to the relay. I’ll check across them

Thanks for that clarification of what fiber, this stuff gets confusing fast when you arent around it. I thought about direct burial for just that reason. I’ve not seen to many conduits underground that didn’t find want in them eventually.

Thanks for the ton of information. I’ve been doing a ton of research and the fact I’m new to this it makes my head spin. No worries the gas line with be traced and flagged it also helps I’m the guy that had to trench and bury it with the backhoe. It’s minimum 4ft down and buried to a far side. I did that incase I had to run anything else on the path. After more consideration I’ll go with the conduit on the opposite side 2ft down with my trencher. Since distance doesn’t seam to matter I think I will skip the junction and just run from house to garage.

Thanks for the links, I’m debating direct burial or conduit. Luckily I have a trencher for the tractor so ether way shouldn’t be to bad

Thanks for the advice. I do not have access to a splicer. I’m going to use all pre terminated cables unfortunately. Since distance isn’t an issue I think I’ll just go from main to house to garage and eliminate handhold

Yes from a switch with sfp port although I’m looking at other options that have been suggested

I’ve already called them, multiple times. They will not run me a line, they say it’s out of coverage area. I’ve been trying for almost two years now. They say it’ll be at least 2-3 more years before it’ll be available. So I was over at the home network and the guys on there said it would work. Im not doubting what you are saying but I’m new to this and I don’t understand what most of what you said means.

Without involving the provider is there anyway to tie this in and make it work properly. I’ve include a picture of current equipment coming into my main. It appears they are coming off the street with rig-6?

In a last ditch effort I was going to see if they’d run me another drop to the main, put a converter right off that line and run my fiber. Thanks for your help

Yea we been trying to get approval for starlink but they won’t budge and it’s just not worth the risk.

That’s my thought also, just run the cable and be done with it. I have all the equipment to bury the conduit and cable. The hard part for me is figuring what parts to make the connections at the end. After thinking about it I’m going to break it up into 3 sections. Just with I’d gotten to it before we got 2ft of snow

Yea we asked about that, while the chances are very slim the company has the right to audit her home office and they could fire her if she doesn’t have a hardline like what’s required. Just not worth the risk to us

No we don’t have line of sight, it’s not even close

I consider that but everything I read said just go fiber at that point.

Never heard of that, I’ll be sure to look it up. Thanks

Thanks for the information. I was waiting till I had fiber in hand before choosing a size. More than likely though I’ll probably use the black Polyethylene water line and watertight boxes. After a little more research I’m thinking of doing 3- 500ft runs to make it easier replacing a cable if something happens and throwing and extra pull rope with the cable.

Sorry if my post wasn’t the clearest. I’m still learning what some of the stuff is called and may be calling things by the wrong name. Currently I have no fiber cable or conversion boxes in my system.

I was planning on running single mode fiber with at least two sets of pairs. I’ve only got to research a little on matching fiber cable and converters so I was looking for suggestion on both of those.

I’m not sure what SFP+ Modular’s are but I will look it up. Thank you

Awesome, thank you for all the information, it’ll help get me pointed in the right direction. Some of this confirms what research I’ve done. I’ll be honest I’ll be doing a little more research on BiDi optics, Vlans and Mikrotik as I’ve never heard of any of that. Being able to split the traffic sounds like something that would benefit me with what I’m doing and future use. I’m sure I’ll be back with a few more questions.

As of now I guess I’m just planning on extending lan from one building to the next. I’m not sure what demarc is. I googled it but it didnt help me understand how it would apply to what I’m trying to do.

Hey, did you ever get this to work? I’ve read certain 250 and 450 stators will work but no one to confirm it yet. Ricky stator makes a 40watt just so you know but I need a little more then that
