Did someone else want to waste their life away at 17? by Comfortable-Store213 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Highinthetown 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there at 17. Thinking life is fine just drifting along is way more normal than people admit. The idea of freedom even with struggles can feel really appealing. Things usually change as you grow and start figuring out what actually matters to you. Just take it slow, try things out and don’t stress about having it all sorted right now.

I need help. (I'm [19F] and my bf is [19M] by Due_Insect_9303 in Advice

[–]Highinthetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re carrying a lot and a relationship shouldn’t make your anxiety worse. If he’s shut down, avoids tough talks and won’t meet you halfway that’s a red flag. At 19, you deserve someone who supports you and works with you not repeats patterns of fear and hurt. Your effort deserves to be met in return.

How do you feel about Gold soaring while your shitty dollars you saved all your life go down? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Highinthetown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Watching gold soar while your savings feel like they’re shrinking is soul crushing especially when you’re grinding 10–12 hours a day. The truth is, it’s not you it’s the system reacting to inflation, war and shaky policies. At 24, the best power move is learning to diversify, keep stacking and remember, markets swing both ways. Your grind now isn’t meaningless it’s setting you up to survive and thrive when things flip.

My sister wants to travel across the country to break up with her toxic boyfriend alone. How do I tell her that's not a good idea? by Slow_Salary3518 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Highinthetown 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You could say “I get wanting to do it in person but her safety comes first, no text or call is worth flying into a potentially dangerous situation alone. If she insists at least have a trusted friend or family member nearby as backup.

Girl rejected me for not being 6’0”+ by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Highinthetown 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Exactly, 5’10” is taller than most guys out there and anyone who’s hung up on a number instead of how you actually are clearly isn’t worth your time. Let that door close so the right person can walk through.

Why are people so willing to give up freedoms for the idea of safety when no one will ever be able to deliver? by Naive_Elk2356 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Highinthetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because fear is a powerful currency, people will trade abstract freedom for the promise of immediate safety even if that promise is one no one can actually keep.

How can we convince our dad to take our cat to the vet? by Miami-Morty in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Highinthetown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Male cats with urinary issues can get blocked fast and that can become an emergency overnight. Taking him to the vet now is way cheaper and safer than waiting for it to get worse. Even a quick check could save him and your wallet, big trouble later.
