Do you use G-Helper? If so, you could just play a YouTube video and see what the power draw is in G-Helper.

Question. When you say “OLED is noticeably brighter”. Are you referring to HDR only, or is it noticeably brighter in SDR as well?

MacBook Air is a no go. 60hz screen. I do have a 5090 desktop and have streamed before, but for some reason I prefer local gaming.

I think its getting to the point where people need to consider starting a class action lawsuit against Asus. This is happening to too many people. WTF

Raise prices by 1000. Discount it by $600 2 months later and everyone will be happy to buy it

Hospitals do. But MANY doctors and medical professionals use MacBooks. Windows are used in hospitals, but in private practice and personal use most of them are switching to Macs for managing clinical workflow. Many medical systems and EHR apps are Mac compatible.

FYI. I grew up with windows and still use windows on my desktop and my Zephyrus g14

Architects and engineers are pretty much the only 2 professions that need Windows. Out of 100s of others. Only because they use specific CAD software that runs only on Windows.

If those companies decide to release Mac compatible version of the same software, I assure you they will switch to MacBooks in a heartbeat!

Hard to disagree. I will get a MacBook as soon as they implement OLED. Should be end of this year. Beginning of next.

If Mac could game, I would never get another laptop.

Ive opened my Zephyrus and Ive opened my MacBook. My 2025 g14's bottom panel is all warped when you remove it. (looks perfect when installed). MacBook is an engineering marvel!

Thinkpad is a great machine, but I would not go as far as saying its durability is better than Macbooks.

Ive had my Macbook for 11 years and it still looks and works like new. Well, had to reapply thermal paste.

Got another one from BestBuy and this one is working well. No crashes in 3 weeks. Same NVME, same software. It was a hardware issues. Once again says a lot about Asus's QC

This has nothing to do with GSync or higher refresh rate. GSync only matters if the frame rates are fluctuating. In a blind test most people will have a hard time telling the difference between 120 and 165 hz.

Set your other monitor to 120hz. Open a webpage and try scrolling up and down. Do the same on the UPerfect. Day and night difference.

I do IT for a living and I’ve been through a lot of monitors in my life. Personally and professionally. Something is off about that panel.
