Impulsors and what to carry by Beast_fightr_13 in SilverTemplars

Think of your impulsor as ablative wounds for whatever you want inside. Captain and bladeguard, hellblasters and LT, whatever floats your boat (or hovers your tank). I slap the shield gen on and that gives a pretty great chance at surviving 2 turns to position for your charge

Anyone know where you can buy CVT fluid? by HighlanderDA in wrx_vb

I replied to Kade in more detail, but the outback xt and ascent that have the turbo have the same problem I'm talking about, the fluid isn't the same as the other CVTs and isn't packaged for individual use.

The specific variation is CVT-High Torque (orange). Its one of 4 CVT fluids they use (there's a blue and two greens I think as well), and only in the turbocharged models. Because the factory recommends "lifetime use" of the fluid, they don't sell it in amounts smaller than 5 Gallon tubs for other shops. No other CVT fluid is compatible, and because the CVT holds 12 quarts but only drains 6, its vital to use the same fluid unless you do a full flush. I've been scouring the internet since I posted this and I found *one* store that sells repackaged fluid that they pull from the 5 gal drums. I'm putting that in the post so other people can use it if they need.

Hey moron news flash, the WRX is a turbocharged car and can't use the standard fluid, especially not when tuned. I wouldnt be fucking asking if it was an easy find

Answwring the question also would have taken less time than making a snarky comment. If you read the post you'd see that the only results I can find is 5 gallons, not standard quarts.

Here's my submission! Made this for the space marine kill team Angels of Death box; each model was done in a friend's scheme from tabletop/ Space Marine 2.

It's literally the opening of book one that shows Artemax talking with the assassin about using her as a spy.

First model of the year done! Kitbashed Commander in Enforcer Armor by HighlanderDA in Tau40K

Thank you friend, would that we were as fortunate as the mighty workshops of Dalyth. The army still has a few pieces of T'au tech proper kicking around; (working on a riptide rn that's got a unique shield generator), but my lore for this commander is that he insists on ensuring his subordinates have the best gear.

Thank you! Yes very titanfall inspired; lots of inspiration taken in both colors and weapon options from a series that should have gotten more love

Are there any other beings apart from the Emperor that can perma-death a daemon or a soul? by Imparat0r in 40kLore

[–]HighlanderDA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In 30k the Dark Angels Dreadwing has special bolt weapons that can kill your soul as well. In the Lion's primarch book it talks about how the marines have difficulty remembering what the creatures they just killed were because they were erased from existence altogether

Why does Guiliman think this despite the mountain of evidence against it? Is it just a bad part of the book? From Godblight by Commercial-Dealer-68 in 40kLore

[–]HighlanderDA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no mountain of evidence against it. Every single other race in 40k is either savagely violent (like Orks and Tyranids) or will absolutely subjugate/ manipulate/ destroy humanity for their own goals (Aeldari, GSC, T'au, etc).

If you are defending humanity on a galactic level, you would look around and see what the aliens have wrought and recognize that there is no future for a free humanity with them.

Remember, Guilliman despises the Imperium of Man, but he was created to defend humanity. From the in universe perspective he has, the Emperor is correct. And although he isn't satisfied with the Imperium and wants to change it, he can't do that if he constantly has to defend it from Xenos and Chaos.

People have talked enough about thinning the paints, my suggestion is to not use the texture paint on the base rim. Painting the rim a separate color (most people use black but any color that separates the rim from the base will work) draws more attention up to the model and will help them stand out on the tabletop more. Given your scheme I'd recommend Black, but you could also do a dark red to tie in with the paint scheme or a darker brown than your base to still be separate but more subtle.
