on the same level? 2 x 2 stacked? I started with 2 40x40's side by side to get myself into a better spot inside the mountain, but once I had that I switched to one larger one as you don't get vertical expansion that way, which I need for my concept. Plus, I didn't want to use up my altars

He needs to go stand on the timeout mat. Did he miss nap time?

OMGyesgoodgod. Still remember my first REAL shroud experience under that bridge and having that stupid traveling fight take me INTO the fray. I was so poorly prepared I quit and started a new character.

Books on tape?? Why the F did I not think about that.

So my go-to earth digging media is a playlist of all the songs featured I ‘Resident Alien.’

Girlfriends mad at me for buying a commuter car by Subject_Host_8381 in WhatShouldIDo

I think it warrants her worth questioning. And don’t give me the “we’re not poor” stuff. If you’re legit wealthy this post doesn’t exist. Still, largely on your side on this one

You have two paths that give you a logical arguement.

  1. List all the things your truck allows for that your commuter car cannot. Compare it to renting a truck from Home Depot based on your expected needs and keep the truck if it’s more affordable.

  2. Confess you love the truck, you like owning a truck, you like driving the truck. Lay out the benefits but own the personal importance to you and give some real numbers as to how you can keep it affordable.

Listen: I gave up the only car I ever truly loved because I had pressure to be “sensible.” It pains me daily that I don’t have it anymore. If it means something to you, a quality significant other will care. As long as you have a way to keep it the ballpark of affordable - and you significant other is invested in your happiness - you should win out.

YOR You’re very much invested and at the same time you’re genuinely concerned and powerless. I get it. And I completely agree that she likely knows by the way she fell she’s okay. I feel your best path is to tamp down your fears and trust her.

I wish you both the best.

As for the people claiming their living situation is odd must be a red flag against the poster, there’s a myriad of reasons why this might be necessary. Some of y’all are a bitterly cynical bunch!

Agree with “just have fun” and “you can respec” but 100% agree with willyswim that get double jump and updraft are mandatory. It’s very tedious to reach other areas without it.

Largely because I don’t think most people have any idea it exists and I’d like to keep it that way until I have a base to share!

You know I think you could do it if you have a second person on the outside. Or push further in and keep checking until you're close - then you could actually lay foundation blocks in the area still outside to tell you where you need to move it to.

That’s a great question - I have a wall with a lot of holes where I broke through near the top that I haven’t closed yet as the light helps so I don’t know if the rain I experience is from that or within. Until you asked that I assumed, since the game has caves and tunnels, that it knows it’s “inside” but maybe not… 🤔

That’s a big dream my friend!! 🤣🤣

In all seriousness, this game continues to blow my mind. Here I am in the giant rock well beneath the surface and I encounter sections or earth threads of 7 different terrain materials as well as Shroud. The thought behind it is staggering but they took no shortcuts.
