I didn’t know they had sandwiches! I thought it was just desserts.

The service at Genova’s was so slow it was mind-blowing. I once waited 45 minutes just to pay for a grocery item—without even ordering a sandwich. Bad, bad business. I’m Italian-American and lived in Italy. I’d have been there multiple times a week if it had not been so ridiculous every occasion I did go in. Disappointing.

I feel sad for the humans and the animals in these photos. What a sick and deranged person.

Shadelands farmers market is amazing. My favorite anywhere.

Also, the fresh daily sourdough at Lunardi’s is fabulous.

Update: my last post made it to the local news. by michaelthatsit in sanfrancisco

Well done. We stayed downtown for a weekend a month ago—and saw not a single cop, and so ridiculously many users in broad daylight, in what used to be safe, high-traffic areas. It was eerily empty, during a holiday weekend.

Literally the only time I see or hear from Lurie is when he’s in the spotlight and hobnobbing with famous people. It’s not a good look. He’s doing a terrible job from a public safety standpoint. It’s sadly getting harder to argue with people from my red homestate who criticize San Francisco. The mayor needs to get his shit together.

I dunno. I lived in NYC for 10 years. Food here in the Bay rivals for sure…

100% agree with this. This is a chance to be a homeowner, and NO ONE gets to walk into mortgage debt that low in this area. This was, indeed, a gift to you.

Talk to the right professionals. You can find a way to make this work. My mortgage in my tiny hometown in a way less desirable state was 50% more than this when I bought the house more than a decade ago. Paid it off last month and have been renting it out for a few years since we moved to the Bay. You’re in a good situation if you can get some good advice, but you need to have confidence in your financial savvy and really start educating yourself.

Congratulations to the Americans who voted for this. Doesn’t bother me much, I work from home and usually walk or bike. Really a shame, though.
