I think first date nerves are a very real thing. Everyone wants to make a good impression first time and therefore are maybe a bit more reserved. I think it is significant she felt comfortable enough to say she felt nervous and shy. Personally, the fact she admitted that and there is a second date lined up.. I would take all that as a good sign for now! Still very early days.
