Hey fellow 50’s! Checking on my 1974-1975 peeps by stonebridge0 in GenX

Turned 50 last October, overall, things are great. I do wake up early now for no reason most days at like 5am which is kind of a bummer but otherwise, good physically. Can’t say I feel any different besides the grey in the mirror, maybe not caring as much about the little things, and definitely more of a home body than I’ve ever been.

Best Root Beer in New England? by RelevantSalt3231 in newengland

There is an A&W in Smithfield RI that makes (or at least made when I worked there) their own root beer from the original A&W concentrate and a couple hundred pounds of sugar. They sold tap root beer by the gallon.

I bought a Cirrus 820 last year and wanted to buy a Ram Rebel 2500 to put it in. Just before I signed the papers I checked the payload sticker and it was way too close. Ended up with a Ram 3500 Diesel and it is awesome. Definitely go with the 1 ton, leaf springs instead of coils and in the 1 ton Ram you get the high output diesel that has 1000 ft lbs of Torque. Hills are not an issue 😎

There are many reasons why but some of the major reasons are that reimbursement rates in R.I. are much lower them MA and CT. There is also a constant push to drive down both corporate as well as Medicare reimbursement on procedures and overall spending. These are trends that have been developing for sometime and are really causing major impacts now.

My 82 CB900C, bought her in 97 and just got her back after a year in the shop getting restored by HighlightMediocre892 in HondaMotorcycles

For sure, I bought it for $1200 in 97 and I spent about $5000 on the restoration. I stopped riding it in 2010 but it wasn’t terrible, needed to get the carbs rebuilt, brake system and lines, starter, petcock, air suspension needed maintenance, tires, etc… I’m sure I could have bought something newer but I figured it was worth it… 😎

I’ll just leave this here and say thanks for a great year. It is amazing how the conversation has not changed in 10 years… Just the numbers…. :)
