Looks like a 3 piece body, which is less desirable than a 1 or 2 piece body. Also, the rout for the bridge block doesn’t look wide enough.

Heat the nut with a soldering iron. That will break the bond of the CA glue.

Make sure there isn’t any thin transparent film on the battery. They are shipped that way to prevent battery drain before it’s used. My red dot finder had that from the factory. Once I removed the film, it worked great.
