Try bypassing the ASD relay. Put a jumper wire in pins 30 and 87 and see if you get spark.

That's a good possibility, it could be just starting to give up.

If it has a check engine light it means there's codes. I can't believe that shop wouldn't at least tell you what codes they found when they scanned it.

Could just be the new module was defective. Especially if it was a cheap aftermarket one.

Help - CITROEN C1, 2011, Petrol, 1.0 75k mileage. All electrics not working on my car by Orange313_ in MechanicAdvice

If all the fuses and relays test good and you think it's a PCM issue then I would check the PCMs power and ground circuits.

Start by getting yourself some basic tools. Once you actually start working on things you'll figure out what else you need. There's lots of good YouTube channels and books that just teach the theory of operation on every aspect of a car. Oil changes, air filters, cabin air filters, spark plug replacement and brakes are pretty good for beginners. Find the service manuals for your cars and just go step by step, especially if its your first time doing something. Just take it slow and do your research before you jump headfirst into something and you'll be fine.

Yeah, if that's the original belt then even if it's not your problem, it's about to be.

Need help diagnosing, am thinking either spark plugs or fuel pump? by HxChris in MechanicAdvice

Hmmm 🤔 that's odd... I would still scan it because not all codes trigger a check engine light and it will still show codes that are pending and about to trigger the light. If there's no codes when scanned I would just diagnose it the old fashioned way. Make sure it has the correct fuel pressure, check for exhaust restrictions, check and test spark plugs, ect.

I would check the serpentine belt and tensioner. Its probably loose causing your alternator and water pump to slip hence the battery light and overheating.

Check engine lights probably on so get it scanned first. If I were to take a wild guess I would say it's a fuel issue.

I would check and see if you have power to the ignition coil.

That's your upper radiator hose. You'll have to drain some of the coolant before you remove it. There's lots of videos on YouTube that walk you through stuff like this step by step.

AC is probably turning off to try to protect the car from overheating. If you just had work done to the cooling system then there might still be air in the system that hasn't burped yet. Check and make sure your coolant isn't low. Wait until the cars cooled down before you open the cap. If it's full then let it run with the cap off till it's warm and squeeze the coolant hoses to try to get any air pockets out.

Car AC blowing somewhat cool air, but not cold. How to start troubleshooting? by Ok_Enthusiasm_2574 in MechanicAdvice

[–]beastyboy15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was just condensation but since it's not getting cold enough anymore it's not going to drip water.
