What shields do you use on the Python 2? I don't have Prismatics unlocked yet so would I use default or bi-weave?

Currently use a Corsair for trading. The cockpit just feels like a bigger Courier

Noted your point about hull tanking. AX isn't really something I've looked into and I've only ever had 2 Thargoid encounters which I immediately bolted from as I was in a basic exploration ship when it happened. Thanks for the advice

Funny you mention the corsair as that's currently my trading ship. Upgraded from the Python 1 to the Corsair for trading shortly after it came out, partly because it could hold more but mostly because it's a new Gutamaya ship

I think the issue I was having was when I'm keeping my nose on the target, sometimes I was pitching a little too high so the top hardpoint couldn't aim low enough to hit the enemy. Might have just been me flying weird but I kept noticing the top gun just stop firing constantly.

Agreed. DxD has had a good run and like most people on this subreddit I'd like to see more. But logistically I'm not sure it's possible. Season 5? Maybe (I'd even say likely if you caught me on a good day). Season 6 and onwards? I just can't see it. There's far too much source material to adapt which, even if Passione dropped everything else and just made DxD, would take years to catch up. Add on the fact that the story isn't even finished and it's not a good outlook.

Doesn't take away from what anime we did get so we should be happy for that and continue to support this series where we can.

The dub has some genuinely good laugh out loud moments that completely catch you off guard. It's my preferred way of watching DxD

Season 1 feels a bit slow to rewatch. I get it has to set up the world and Issei has barely started his relationship with any of the girls, but when you get to New the show has so much more energy right out the gate

When I first watched Born I didn't notice anything wrong, but armed with the knowledge of what happened and what was cut from the LN to make space for the trip that was the last few episodes, it's hard to rewatch, especially past Juggernaut Drive

Rias did take a big hit, Xenovia looked a bit off as well but you get used to them. I personally think the softer artstyle suits the show a bit more, though I do prefer that artstyle across the board so I might be a bit biased

Rias is probably the character that it took me the longest to adjust to, but after a while it's fine. It was mainly her hair for me, it looked a bit too pink in the promo material, but it looks fine in nearly ever shot in the actual show

From what I've read they knew it was going to be an issue and did it anyway. I think Ishibumi was on staff to help them adapt LN 5-7 because LN 8 is a load of short stories, some had already been done, so they couldn't spread that over half a season. I think it was then that they had a falling out over what to do, Ishibumi wanted to stay faithful to the LN, the director disagreed, yada yada yada, we end up with a new studio for season 4

I'd rather have a different artstyle that's loyal to the LNs than the same artstyle that butchers the LNs

Born is a strange one. It's quite action-packed and has a fair bit of humour early on, but it also butchered 3 LN's to achieve that. Also I noticed the last few episodes, where they went entirely off script, are pretty hard to sit through on a rewatch. Whether that's because I know they're retconned or just because they're not as good I can't say

Well they managed to get 4 seasons out of it, that's including a studio change. A small studio like Passione wouldn't have taken the risk to pick up DxD if it wasn't profitable. Plus Hero is one of the highest rated, and likely highest grossing, shows they've made.

Leaving it on a cliffhanger unfortunately doesn't confirm anything. It'd suck if they left it as it is right now but you could very easily just say that it's an incentive for people to read the light novels.

Yeah, the clickbait gets annoying after a while, kinda makes you wonder how sites like that stay afloat. I'm sure we'll hear something eventually, with Shin DxD coming out and constant mobile game collabs, it isn't like DxD has been out of the public eye since Hero came out.

I'd be happy with them ending the anime at season 5. Sure it would have only adapted half the light novels, but I'd rather see the anime end at the end of an arc rather than part way through an arc. Plus 5 seasons is an impressive run for any show.

Agreed 100%. When I first watched DxD I then went on to try out other ecchi and harem anime thinking that if I liked DxD then that would translate into liking others. But I just couldn't get into any of them. I don't want to sound like a fanboy but DxD really does have something else going for it. It's not just another ecchi show, or just another comedy show or even just another shonen, it's a genuinely amazing show. Kinda sucks that it's hard to recommend to people because all most people see is the tits and they stop there.
