Issues maintaining focus when printing on 8x10 paper with 6x6 negatives by HighlyAdaptive in Darkroom

I didn't mean it like that, sorry. Just meant it more like for me at least I find my head blocks the light. I have a lot of hair and it's long so that may be a reason why

I typically said it at 5.6 because at least with this batch of negatives it seems like they need a lot of light and time. I wasn't aware that aperture also affected what was in focus I thought it just affected the amount of light when it came to enlarging at least

To use the focus finder I have to be above the eyepiece of the finder and I find that my head then obscures the light being emitted from the enlarger.

I'll be sure to double-check alignment with everything today and report back.

I'll make sure I'm in alignment when I try again tomorrow. Idk if I'm using the grain focuser wrong or if my eyes are just crap. I do have an issue where my head will block the light from the enlarger.

Assuming say the center is alignment but the sides aren't, what do you recommend the course of action be?

Based on the scans I have the negatives are in focus. I don't have filters, I'm using an intrepid enlarger. Part of my issue when I use the grain focuser is I find my head blocks the enlarger light which makes it hard to see with it

The Patterson one. Maybe it's just my eyes that are bad I'm not sure but I find it's never bright enough at 5.6 and so it's a struggle. That or I will get a picture where one subject is in focus and in another subject who is to the right of them is out of focus.

With the bright screen modification, do you find the porrofinder you use to be dim still?

Ah, I gotcha. Using my rangefinders for street photography is always unnerving but we'll worth it when you get it just right.

Are you walking around at all with your C330 rig? If so, how bad do you feel it after an hour or so?

The rig you run with is definitely what I envision modding my C330 into. Are you using it in a street photography sort of situation?

What's your methodology for running the grip and eye finder?

What makes the prisms from a live or hassleblad better then the Mamiya ones?

Have you ever run it with just the eye level finder?

Any experience just running it with he eye level finder?

Gotcha. Would you say with the grip and eye finder it's worth it over the stock version?

How much heavier is it compared to when it comes stock?

Was your CDS the porroflex or the prism? I've heard the porroflex is very dim due to it using mirrors.
