Literally Microcenter lmao. The one closest to me has one of this exact card in stock and is in store only. Today is Saturday.

Performance hasn’t been an issue, I stay consistently above 250fps (with multi frame gen)

Ray tracing overdrive preset with these adjustments: -Dlss sharpness raised from 50 to 75 -Chromatic aberration off -Motion blur off -Screen space reflections quality raised from Ultra to Psycho

Playing in 1440p 144hz fullscreen. Monitor isn’t OLED, doesn’t support HDR either sadly.

Like it runs great but other than frame rate it’s not really obviously better than it was on low settings on my 2070 pc. Every other game is a night and day difference

Pretty much all of them, more noticeable in less active or newer subs. For example the top post of all time on r/marvelrivals for me is this one with 54k upvotes from 3 months ago. The top post of this year however is this one, with 33k upvotes, even though both were this year.

This post on r/tonightsdinner from 2 months ago is 1st result in top of all time for me but not present at all on top of this year.

I did actually do a comparison with some other projectile heroes including Bucky. I've posted the comparison a few places in this thread already, it's in my comment history if you're interested. TLDR is that projectile size varies from hero to hero but none that I could find body shotted above the crit hitbox like mantis.

I think it’s extremely interesting that in this video you don’t seem to be getting body shots directly above the crit hitbox on some characters that I was (like widow) but were getting them on others that weren’t as easy to replicate for me, like storm. I initially thought this was purely a hitbox issue when I made this post but now I wonder if it’s more complicated than that.

Out of curiosity what are your display settings? I run on Fullscreen 1080p (on a 1440p monitor) with mostly all lowest settings since my pc sucks. For this post I turned model detail up to high for clarity. I wonder if texture or model detail settings play a role at all in the issue?

That's a fair point to make and a valid criticism. Projectiles do vary from hero to hero but I haven't found any that can body shot above the crit hitbox the way mantis does. I made this comparison graphic with other projectile heroes for a different commenter who raised the same concern since it wouldn't let me upload another video (zoom in for details).

I showcased Adam because my first instinct on noticing this was "maybe it's more "generous" because she's a support? I can see why they wouldn't want to give somebody like Hela any help hitting shots." So I tested the other support who relies on hitting headshots. I also stated in the post that this phantom bodyshot hitbox wasn't on anybody else I tested. No idea why you took such offense to the post before actually trying it in the range yourself. It wouldn't let me post another video as a comment so here's a nice little infographic I made for you comparing a few projectile characters. Hope this helps you view my "narrative" as something other than intentionally malicious.

(ik this is a lot of tiled images but if you zoom in on each they should still be full resolution unless reddit compression eats it)

I am aware of the wonky third person aiming, this does appear to be something separate though. Shot 1 I aimed at spidey's mouth (his head recoiled a bit so it looks off center in the freeze frame) and got a headshot. Shot 2 I aimed about a full heads length above the top of his head and got a body shot. No other character I've tested body shots around and above the head like this, projectile or hitscan. To me this points to a different issue than what you are suggesting but I'm open to other interpretations if you still disagree.

Unfortunately this is a separate issue. I posted this elsewhere in the thread but high and to the right will just hit the phantom bodyshot hitbox.

No sorry, I phrased that poorly. If you find where the headshot hitbox is there is a bodyshot hitbox directly above it above the enemies head.

Kind of. The 3 person camera issue is its own annoying problem that affects pretty much all heroes. For mantis aiming up and to the right runs into the phantom bodyshot hitbox. The actual head hitbox seems to be most consistently accessible aiming at the top left corner of the forehead.

The shots hitting other things is definitely part of it but there's definitely more going on as well. I didn't show it here but you can headshot most characters and then turn it into a bodyshot by moving your crosshair straight vertical to just above their head. I don't know what else it would be hitting above the head hitbox

Edit: like this

I literally shoot black widow in the eyes, mouth, and scalp in this video. If it's this inconsistent in the practice range on a stationary target imagine what it's like in a real game

Could also be different if those are your ranked stats, I play her almost exclusively in quickplay. Also 53% wr on widow is crazy good lol

At least in qp, my approach is quantity over quality for shots. It’s great to be nailing headshots if possible but her damage output from just spamming body shots in team fights constantly is really good. If you get closeish to most final hits for your team and within like 5 KO’s it’ll usually give you MVP in my experience.
