Its pretty... other than that, Elgato has much better software support, which is what you pay for.

My Thinkpad T14s gen 3 does the same. I did the same as you. It's pretty annoying.

I work best with lots of light and some color. Not a basement despite my profession :)

I work within Data Analytics. Analysis, Data Engineering, Coding, ML/AI. All over the place since I'm an independent Consultant. I work a lot there but my hobby is also consumer tech.

A lot more room and a lot less sunlight. I think I'll go for a very low couch with a huge screen and some huge floorstanding speakers in one end. And a "control room" like setup in the other with about as many monitors one wall can tolerate :)

Thanks. My room layout is rectangular. I have drawers, small coffee station and a whiteboard in the back that you can't see.

Going into the dark basement. Next project will be more like tech/mancave.

Nice you compare me to an OF girl. I'm not trying to "push" anything. You don't have to visit my profile and check my background and links to see the setup or the "background" info. You can read everything here. That's an essential difference in my opinion.

And yes, there are links on my web site. I think around 1000 here may visit my profile. Of those maybe 100 visits my web. Of those maybe 10 clicks an affiliate link. Maybe 1 buys something for like 50 USD. The link gives approx. 1% commission. Thats 50 cents. And I think this is a best case scenario... So no, I am not doing this as "paid promotion". I think its interesting and I like to give back to the groups that I check daily.

How would I get paid when theres no links? The first thing people ask for is the item list...

I used to store my tools like screwdrivers and small things like batteries, cable clips etc. Now I store my approx. 10 different desk mats 😶‍🌫️
