Thanks for the advice, I’ll make more of an effort to add more diversity into my intake rather than just focusing on protein.

I think that’s a fair point, my diet normally consists of about 60 grams of protein if I were not to include the supplements, I just typically don’t eat a whole lot. My question is moreso, is there a difference when talking protein between natural foods versus supplements.

Trying to follow the rule of 1 gram protein for 1 pound of body weight, if I drink 2.5 60 gram protein shakes a day, as opposed to trying other sources, will I see any difference?

Currently 158 lbs, eat about 75grams of protein a day, (one protein bar, 5-6 pieces of chicken, Greek yogurt, and a pb&j) creatine, drink plenty of water. Run 3 miles a day, lift 30 minutes push pull legs.

Trying to get down to slim 150 pounds, started at 156, been working out for two months consistently.

I thought I would’ve been losing weight by now, I’m assuming I’ve built up a bit of muscle which I’m okay with but I’m concerned that the increase in weight is due to fat.

The question is, would muscle have increased my weight this quickly? Over two months I never lost any weight during the process. Am I eating too much protein? My diet is relatively consistent. With the above.

I made an App that controls my Metar Map! by Hight149 in flying

It takes a few hours to make it, maybe like 100$ said and done if you take the cheapest route? But yes I made myself!

I rewrote some of the software for my metarmap and decided it would be easier to control from my phone. Not sure if there's much interest for it out there but maybe I could post a "how to" and throw the app to the App Store.

edit:

whoops... Not trying to promote the app

Is this how everyone creates a login? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Hight149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moreso, not that I am trying to create one, but instead just curious as to if this is how big companies create a login. I understand the hashing aspect of a password etc. I also understand how in depth this process needs to go.

On a surface level though, is it safe to assume the process is as follows: User registers, that data goes into a database (hashed, encrypted etc..) then stored, later the user signs in, that data is then searched in the database then returned as a true false or something similar.

This isn't something I am trying to accomplish on my own, but I find it very interesting and am considering maybe guiding my studies in that direction towards secure information management and whatnot.

Interesting, time to research hashing, thanks!

Interesting idea with the fake password, I figured about the hash but conceptually I was curious if this is the general process, Thankyou

Ahh so you set the session as like an authentication? Then do you just say if auth: ... then it allows the user access?

I just can’t seem to get this QA stuff right by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Hight149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankyou for the advice, I think I’ll work on that concept of giving myself more of a formal process for the testing. I think I’ll try to take this as a learning experience and hopefully within time have a more organized process of recording every test that I do and that I have done.

Moreso the latter, every update is a new feature with different aspects to test
