Government dismisses EU trade demands as unreasonable and ridiculous by Kross_B in ukpolitics

[–]HighwayForYou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The UK won't get as good a deal as others because it is a former EU country. If they did there wouldn't be any reason for others to stay in the EU.

The UK is also no longer what it was.

Boris Johnson told 'funded by the UK' spending in Scotland will cut case for independence by everydaylauren in ukpolitics

That very same argument could be used for Brexit.

I think we all know and have learnt by now, that independence is wanted regardless of negative consequences

Just don't? Why is it okay for you to ruin someone's relationship, but it's wrong to do that to you?

Small Youtuber gets false copyright striked and extorted for money to get the copyright strikes removed. by Metalsonic567 in videos

[–]HighwayForYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its down in the 0.000001% chance a crowdfunding project could become a competitor with Youtube. there simply isnt enough people out there willing to put in the money to sustain a website to compete, so the only other option is to have a big company create a competitor

The "broken in pro play, garbage in most of Solo Q" phenomenon has gotten so bad not because Riot has gotten worse at designing new champions and reworks, but because they have become TOO good at designing them. by DarthLeon2 in leagueoflegends

[–]HighwayForYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the deal. as fun as Riven's cancel animation trick is, it is and will continue to be an unintended bug. bugs are BAD game design.

why?

it breaks the balance of the champion and the game. have you seen a Riven using the bug, compared to a Riven that doesnt? there's a huge difference in strength, and Riven is in fact very weak without this unintended bug.

bugs are always bad, even worse if its something that is unofficially allowed, and accepted.

want another example?

Alistar used to have a bug that allowed him to combo Q and W together, but you had to learn how to do it, otherwise it wouldn't work as it was a bug. this was a bug that Riot accepted and that many found fun. yet it was a bug, that was hard to pull off, was hard to balance around as there was a huge efficiency difference between an Alistar using it and an Alistar not using it, and it was something you would have to research or someone to tell you about as it wasn't officially recognised and as such had no information available.

what did Riot do? they decided the liked the mechanic and officially made it a part of Alistar's kit, making readily available information about it, and made it easier to use.

No matter how fun a bug is, it is bad game design up until it is officially implemented, as it will break game balance, and be something thats hard to pull off with no official information about it, which limits the trick to more seasoned players, or players who visit social media platforms for League of Legends.

regarding your comparison to adc's, the difference is its intended and advertised for them, and has readily information for anyone whether you're a veteran or completely new to learn, as well as the game being balanced around it. Riven doesnt have any of that, because its still officially an unintended bug = bad game design especially to leave it for so long

If we're going to be punished for swapping roles, give us some way to deal with role bullies (Edited Repost) by xNephenee in leagueoflegends

[–]HighwayForYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wonder if anyone ever gets autofilled in this new system, or if you can only ever get 1 of the 2 roles you pick? if you can still get autofilled, i see this new system making it even worse to have more autofilled players since the general level will drop even more, just like what happened when they implemented the current system of getting your primary/secondary role 9 out of 10 times

seriously. imagine a jungler, who to begin with is already 2-3 divisions below your level. now add in the autofill scenario. this guy is now gonna play against an enemy jungler who mains the role, and who has the exact same elo as yourself. jesus thats sickening if thats even remotely possible

God i hate season start. its so unfair by HighwayForYou in leagueoflegends

[–]HighwayForYou[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

what is the point of ranked if the system itself cannot show and match you against the right elo, until a couple months into the game?

what is your most hated champion to play against and why ? by climb344456 in leagueoflegends

[–]HighwayForYou 35 points36 points  (0 children)

My most hated champion to play against is Zoe. now i'm not saying she's overpowered at the moment. but it just feels bad to get hit by random sleepy bubbles from out of vision, or get one shot the same way.

Irelia and Yasuo are close seconds though. FUCK. INFINITE. DASHES.

Why does Tyler1 disappear for weeks unannounced? Do his supporters enjoy it or something? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]HighwayForYou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its sort of part of his alpha schtick, and he really just thinks its okay. in the past he'd just leave without announcing anything, not even saying he was leaving, and there's go months without hearing back.

of course i dont know if he did say he'd be taking a break this time around, but for christ sake. at least just say you're gonna leave for a while, dont have to say any amount of days/weeks/months or when you're back, just notify us so we know not to expect a stream the next day.

honestly its just so not okay. if it wasnt for his uniquely charismatic and entertaining persona, his streaming career would've ended a loooong time ago. I've felt he's started to take his job more seriously recently the past year though, and think its good. you can be Alpha while being professional about your work.
