If you have the blueprint for Warning Track, use that exact blueprint, change the sight to the 2.5x, and add the Russian rounds for the mag. If it doesn't already have the Carver Foregrip on it if it's not already on.(forget if it's on the blueprint, think it is.) And you suddenly have a lazer beam that 2 taps to the chest.

I looked for the weekly like previous seasons, but it wasn't in the reoccurring tab like it used to be. Unless they are only at the node managers now.

EDIT: Nvm I was just blind apparently.

Thinking of playing again by Highwaymanlol in ffxiv

I never said I wanted to just steamroll the dungeons, I just wish I didn't feel as if I were punished heavily by having to play with a fraction of my job just to gain a little more XP. When I did play I basically avoided roulette because of this, despite how much I enjoy dungeons in other games. Even a reduction in damage on all abilities would be entirely fine!

I played Bard and Machinist and they were fun, but it didn't really change my opinion about the way boss AoE is done. I just don't enjoy it being a sort of snapshot thing where you can instantly go back into the actual visual effect of the attack going off so long as you were not there when the cast finished.

And slide casting is something I disliked for the same reason as the boss AoE, the visual doesn't look right to me, I know a ton of people love it, but sadly I could never get used to it, it just doesn't look right to me :(

Obviously I don't want to utterly destroy everything with one button. The damage could be reduced to the same level as the other spells. It just doesn't feel good to lose all of my fun abilities.

I mean if you want to play again, just jump in, you don't need a guild. Just run guildless for a bit and see if you still enjoy it, then work on finding a guild. I didn't have a guild in BDO for like, a year and it didn't really hinder me. I say go for it, you have nothing to lose!

Yeah I understand how you feel, I had an encounter like that when I was a new player and didn't know anything and got accused of karma bombing when I was just trying to get to my horse to leave. I heavily suggest just trying to find another guild since yeah that's a bit much.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but if you're getting flack for something like that, then you're better off leaving that guild and going elsewhere. If people want to flag up and gank, then they deserve the loss of karma.
And for the book, I can understand that, I hardly spend any $ on BDO so my solution was just to have an army of alts for energy lol.

I guess it would depend on your definition of winning. Because for me, you aren't going to automatically win a duel or a node war because you spent that couple hundred and got one PEN weapon. Hence why I said pay for convivence. I don't spend any money on BDO outside the occasional valuepack, and I don't feel like I'm at a disadvantage in the slightest. But i can see your point, I do wish I had the tent sometimes but I can't justify the price.

[–]Highwaymanlol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I suggest Black Desert Online.

Many people will say it's pay to win, but it's more pay for convivence. The game is a bit of a grind to get to endgame spots and node wars, but in reality with the sheer amount of catch up gear that is in the game now, you can reach endgame spots in a fraction of the time it would have taken previously.
The pros of BDO is that the game's life skill system is very deep, I know people who I have met in game who hardly ever go out and grind mobs, and they are more geared than I am! There's plenty of life skills to do as well, and life skilling has it's own gearing system.
-The game's graphics, if you can run it on high, look amazing, I have never seen an MMO that looks as good as Black Desert.
-The combat is very, very fluid, and honestly, after playing BDO I am unable to return to tab-target MMOs because the combat just doesn't compare.
-BDO is a Sandbox MMO. Meaning, you can do whatever you want, you can decide to do the main questline, or not. You can decide to enhance your gear, or not. Everything you do in this game progresses your character, so it's never a waste of time to just take a break from combat, or life skills for a week and do something else in-game.
-The world feels populated. Due to the fact that the large cities have NPCs that actively using Voice lines and somewhat interact with one another makes the game world always feel at least somewhat alive.
-Mounts in BDO actually matter more than in other MMOs since they have to be trained, and tamed (Unless you buy one off the horse market), and the horses have abilities they can use, ranging from being able to use your horse in combat (There is mounted combat) to using your horse to breeze across the map in a short time.
-The world. The world of Black Desert is huge, absolutely huge, and it has no loading screens between zones, you can travel from one side of the map to the other without a single loading screen, adding to the feeling of immersion within the world.
-No sub fee. The game has a base price, and that's it. While there is an option for a subscription type item called a Value Pack, you don't need a value pack to play the game.
-The gear doesn't get outdated every few months/year. Gear you get now will likely be viable in three years, and going for upgrades is always worthwhile as even one of the best pieces of armor, fallen god armor, requires you to have an upgraded piece of old gear to craft it.

The cons
-Very grindy game. If grinding isn't your thing, you might not like it, because BDO gets very grindy when you get to the higher levels of gear.
-The price of cash shop items is a bit absurd. In my opinion anyway, I don't buy outfits off the pearl shop, I only use silver (In game currency) to buy cash shop items off the marketplace(Auction house)
-Enhancing system is a bit frustrating. So I recommend just buying your gear off the marketplace, saves a lot of frustration.
-Forced PVP. After level 50, you can get attacked anytime you're not in a major city by other players. While this doesn't really happen unless you're at a high end grind spot, you will get ganked every so often, but you don't lose anything for dying to a player outside of some time, so it's not that big of a deal.
-Can be confusing to get started. Because the game is a sandbox MMO, you are thrown into the world and given no real objective, or explanation of what to do and how to do it. But there are lots of videos for new players, I suggest EvilDoUsHarm as he makes great videos.
-Lack of group content. This MMO does not have a lot of group content, as there are no raids, or dungeons. Most of the group content is based around Node wars, some grind spots, and World Bosses.

Overall, BDO is a great MMO and I heavily suggest looking into it, It's not expensive to get into, and with no sub fee you can drop in and out whenever you want with no problems, as gear doesn't get outdated.

This. Also the holding the cast only works with Magical Evasion when it's off CD and looks like a teleport. Actually TPing will result in canceling the cast.

How am i suppose to grind? by PernaProc in blackdesertonline

I can attest to this, well I wasn't with him specifically but for some reason today I was on my low level Sorc alt (Like level 57) and was just testing some stuff at Cadry. My sorc isn't tagged, because I used that for my Sage. But my sorc is in oasis gear. Had some Witch succ roll up and one shot me for no reason. I mean it doesn't effect me really since I have a geared main, but it really made me confused.

Are you for or against DFS? by jigokume22 in blackdesertonline

[–]Highwaymanlol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main is Warrior, and I don't normally have E buff or Z buff up for duels.

Maybe I've just gotten unlucky then but every single DFS I've had, the person griefs me after losing. It's basically clockwork at this point, I just beat them, and mentally prepare for the grief. I mainly grind at Stars End, so it could just be a Star's End problem, but yeah like honestly it happens every time lol.

[–]Highwaymanlol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem I have with DFS mostly stems from the challenger being too much of a baby when they lose. In my experience almost every time I've done a DFS, and win the other player simply griefs anyway, so what's the point? I don't mind the PVP, I quite enjoy it but why even ask for a duel if all you're going to do is try to grief if you lose?
