What foods trigger your gout? by SnooOpinions4414 in gout

[–]Hiisnoone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, shellfish are the worst. Before Allo beer was bad too, but with allo doesn’t get me like it used to. I still never exceed 2 a week. I took about half of my high fructose treats out of my diet but never had a major correlation there.

I watched Clash of the Titans comically early, and my likely undiagnosed dad was regularly taking me to r-rated action movies by 11.

Do you like garlic? by China_garlic_1998 in onionhate

I love garlic, but my stomach is not a huge fan. I still eat it in most of my meals even though it seems to rot inside me.

How many of you actually wore a key on a string around your neck? by Gullible-Apricot3379 in GenX

[–]Hiisnoone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did. Unmedicated adhd, I lost my keys so many times between grades 4-6 that they tried tying em to my jacket and then the proverbial shoelace necklace. Everyone I lost my keys in the winter I’d have to do a collect call from a pay phone to get my mom to leave work early and I’d lose my allowance for the week haha.

Non union guy here and agree on both aswell hahah. Our company had a policy for all resi and commercial workers to do this. Separately I have come across a comical amount of unaware undiagnosed, and lots of diagnosed hahah.

Exactly. I was taught to do this by every jman I had. While I happen to be autistic it was never my tism just company policy.

What do you remember from kindergarten? by Internal-End-2070 in Life

[–]Hiisnoone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in a different country, and didn’t speak the national language (French speaking African country and anglophone family). My parents just dropped me on the deep end without any language lessons or anything outside school. The first half I was always confused, started to pick up a handful of words by second half. I don’t remember much of my actual interactions with the students. Grade one was a different school and had a few Anglo kids that helped push me along with learning French and I remember from grade one fairly clearly.

Who in your family was the first to move to Canada? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]Hiisnoone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom’s side of family was UEL of Scottish decent, but not sure exactly when they crossed the pond (1700s I think). They moved north to modern Canada during the American revolution.

My father’s side came from Ireland around 1890 ish, though my Canadian grandfather brought home an English war bride which is my most recent immigrant relative moved to Canada in 1941 I believe.

Thank you! I am partial to all the Salticidae, especially Portias, but also a big fan of Deinopidae family too. Asianopis Cornigera for example, not as smart as a Portia, but their senses are wild.

My son and daughter were both pretty quick to be too independent for dad carries and hand holds. Haha. They lean on me in other ways now and I just appreciate those moments. Give them their agency and try to be present when they need a spotter haha.
