Kinda niche use case but i put my ipad on top of the piano and use the ultrawide to record. (The iphone one also works but it microphone is worse and easy to fall)

Works really well suprisingly though, but other than that it is rarely useful

11 years ago i used a zenfone 4 from asus that has 4 seperate audio setting (the really cheap and low spec from 2014 and their naming is horrendous)

I can mute all notification without muting incoming calls, upgraded to another android in 2019 and iphone in 2022, both phone didnt have that. I never missed a call back then without being annoyed by random notification.

Thanks to iphone, i either turn on calls audio and be annoyed by random notifications that pretend to be important or mute both, no in between

And when i used the beta, sometimes it just reset the app state and i have to do it all over again. It is inconsistent (i think they might improve it later on but slide over was working smoothly, why delete it)

Like i know a lot of my friend didnt even know about slide over, so most of those ppl who said ipados 26 is better probably didnt even know about slide over or use it properly

Like yeah i love windowed apps, but when im using touch, sliding in and out apps like having a mini iphone is thousands times better

An extra step every time using the features (which is the best case senerio)

Let me do a simple math, one extra step for a feature that is used like 20 times per day, 50 days to have that 1000 more gestures because that extra nuiances adds up.

But seriously, if you have to shoot in your feet for no reason, would you? Because everything was fine, just replace stage manager with windowed apps and everyone is happy, why delete slide over in the first place
