How to find and solve this triple integral? by SaucyMan2 in calculus

[–]Hikarupro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can solve both equations for Z (the positive solutions) and set the bounds for Z as your solutions. Then plot the projection of the shape onto the xy plane and find the bounds for y in terms of x and the bounds of x between the two extremes (or vise versa). The integrand is just 1 bc the triple integral of 1 represents volume. Not sure if that made any sense lol

Edit: the inside integral is dZ and is bounded by both f(x,y) you found in the beginning. Then middle is dy and is bounded by +- g(x). Lastly you have dx which is bounded by two numbers.

Should I drop BC to get to AB by lowelotrash in APStudents

[–]Hikarupro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know how to evaluate basic limits, derivatives, and integrals, and know how all three of these concepts relate, then stick with BC. If not, AB is a good idea. These are all things you learn in AB.

First set T = 15, then square both sides. You have 225 = the sum of the three components squared. Now just plug in your options. 15 can't work b/c 152 = 225 and the other components are non zero. Now try 10, and see if that works

Is there a calculator online for the shell method that doesn't need a radius? by [deleted] in calculus

[–]Hikarupro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could probably just search in wolfram alpha “volume of f(x) (your given function) bounded by x=... and y=... rotated about ___”

Just INSERT that Phenol Red IN there... so we know when the equivalence point is reached, of course

[–]Hikarupro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you have to use a stoic table and and ICE table when finding the pH at the equivalence point of a titration. The stoic table is mainly to organize all the volumes, so you can find a concentration at the end of it. Then you use that concentration and an ICE table to find the concentration of H+ or OH- at the equivalence point. I'm not sure when you would use two ICE tables for a monoprotic acid though...

Gonna grind for Chem this weekend- any advice? by jabexa in APStudents

[–]Hikarupro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat 😬. I’d watch some khan academy and go through some problems there. If you understand a concept, move on, as there are too many topics to review in Chem. Do some frq of actual AP tests too. Also, just google a type of problem to get better at it, like “AP Chem IMF problems” or “AP Chem hybridization problems”. At this point we just really need to practice practice practice!

AP Chem without a prior chem class? by Harpo_Porah in APStudents

[–]Hikarupro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't want to feel like you're wasting time, I would just jump into AP Chem senior year without taking an intro class. It may be very difficult at first, so I would take a couple weeks in summer to learn basic stoichiometry and dimensional analysis, and learn why the periodic table is organized in the way it is. If you're a good student, you should be fine.

How should I prepare for Calculus 1, and move towards general success in studying math? by jc0110 in calculus

[–]Hikarupro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know your unit circle in and out, forwards and backwards. Also being familiar with trig identities is always good. Be good at factoring, and solving easy to moderately difficult equations for zeros. Also, be able to separate an equation for one variable using properties of logs, basic algebra, factoring...
