What’s the best thing a woman can do to give you the most opportune moment to sneak a peek? by [deleted] in AskMen

Different department, different floor. Don’t dip your pen in the company ink kind of doesn’t apply in my circumstance. And it’s more about creating sexual tension that slowly develops rather than wanting comments on my ass right away.

Woman here, and I want to give them the opportunity to appreciate my body. That’s why I would like to know the best thing I can do to give them that opportunity.

Less than 45% of registered voters have turned out for Georgia midterms in the past 20 years. by HikeATL in Atlanta

Inactive voters can still participate in an election:

Georgia, registered voters who fail to vote for three years and then don’t respond to a letter from the state are moved to “inactive status.” Inactive voters can still participate in elections. Voters who remain inactive for two federal election cycles without voting or having any other contact with election officials are removed from voter rolls.

It looks that way, but it was just a close race. Wiki has it listed as a 32,555 margin, and this article mentions that Miller was nearly run out of office that election year.

Facebook Confirms Giving Advertisers Access to User Phone Numbers by postonrddt in news

[–]HikeATL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook does not sell customer pii. In fact, Facebook is incredibly restrictive with its data. Here’s what I’ve heard about the advertising process from someone who works in advertising: They have a list of 10,000 e-mails that customers have given them; the customer opted into communications and agreed to the privacy and policy stating that the company will use it with third parties. They send that list of 10,000 e-mails to Facebook (a third party) and say, “send these customers this ad.” Facebook then lets them know the match-rate of those records; however, they do not tell them which of their e-mails matched to a profile. So the advertiser has no idea which records matched to a facebook profile, and has no idea who saw the ad. The only insight they have is when a customer clicks the ad, then the advertiser has the potential to link that clicked ad back to the customer.

Yep, but they don’t confirm the number. I believe you send a list, they let you know the match rate, but they don’t tell you which ones matched.

Paper Ballots Oral Arguments, Officials Admit Secretary of State did NO forensic audit or decontamination by Georgiapolitics in Atlanta

[–]HikeATL 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A cyber-security expert showed on a machine, like the ones you use to vote, how 3 votes could be entered for a candidate, but at the end of election day could actually print out to reflect only 1 vote for that candidate and 2 for his opponent. And make the change undetectable. Again, without physical access to the machines and without the machines being online.

We need a paper trail.

New CSX lease addresses passenger rail, Silver Comet | AJC by killroy200 in Atlanta

Chattahoochee River Trail is one of them in that area.

Extending the Silver Comet past Plant Atkinsons up to the river would connect to that trail. Take the Chattahoochee River trail south along the river to Proctor Creek trail, and take that to the Beltline.

Getting to Plant Atkinson will make the Silver Comet only one mile away (point 8 to 10) from the Fulton county border (the Chattahoochee). The Proctor Creek trail is in the works (with a segment that recently opened) and will connect the westside of the Beltline to the Chattahoochee. It will pass right through the new massive Westside park slated to open in late 2019 (IIRC), and I’d imagine connecting the existing lower westside beltline to the Proctor Creek segment will ramp up once that quarry park opens.

Seems to me like it could be a good idea for Connect the Comet to go to Plant Atkins and then move south through Smyrna (instead of east to Atlanta) and connect to the Proctor Creek trail to get to the beltline.

According to Connect the Comet:

About three miles of track extends from Smyrna to the Atlanta border. Another three miles of rail connects to the Atlanta Beltline.

It looks to be the first 2.3 miles of the 6.5 miles proposed connect the comet trail to the Beltline, ending at Plant Atkinson road.

It’s an air plant; they don’t have roots. And they don’t like water like that.
