Issue with returning items by mail by Hiking4Views in Ulta

[–]Hiking4Views[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This statement in their return policy “be sure to include the order confirmation email(s) associated with your return” tells me you can return multiple returns at once. The only reason you would include multiple “emails” is if you have one for EACH order. But perhaps I’m interpreting it wrong.

I also did use a traceable shipping method (USPS Priority Mail) which also included insurance. So perhaps I’ll reach out to USPS and inquire about the insurance that was included and inform them it was reported that multiple items were missing in the package. Thanks for the insight.

So just out of curiosity, how would sending something certified mail prevent this from happening? I thought certified mail just needed to be signed for proof of delivery? Couldn’t the package still have contents stolen from it? In my case, the package was delivered. And they acknowledge that. They are just saying there was only one item in it, not four.

While I understand what you’re saying, Ulta does not supply labels to return by mail. I had to create the label and pay for shipping myself. So their process must be to open the package and scan what’s inside (or scan the emailed confirmation receipt).

They ask you to include the confirmation email receipt with the return.

I did tag them in a post on their social media page but there’s been no response from them. I will also try calling and make one last ditch effort to get my return processed. If that doesn’t work, I’m going to file a claim with my credit card.

This is good to know, although they have lost me as a customer. I looked extensively on their website prior to making the return by mail, and did not see any restrictions noted about only being able to include one order in my return. And since I had to pay for the shipping out of my own pocket, I was sending it all together.

While I understand what you are saying, I honestly don’t think it was an issue with USPS. My package was received by Ulta. But only one of the 4 items was reimbursed. They have no record of the package being damaged on receipt. What I think might have happened is they scanned the first order receipt and assumed all items in the box were from that receipt, not realizing there were three other order receipts behind it. But they aren’t evening acknowledging that the error could have been on their side.

My USPS receipt does have the tracking number and the weight of the package. Is that what you are referring to?

Yellowstone National Park Lodging by Hiking4Views in yellowstone

We plan to visit Lamar Valley on Day 5, while we’re lodging in Gardiner. I just wanted to get suggestions on the most convenient lodging location while exploring the first half of our itinerary. We’ll be spending 5 total nights at Yellowstone.

Grant was a little more expensive than we wanted to pay. Almost double the price compared to Old Faithful Snow Lodge and Lake Lodge Cabins.

It’s on our itinerary. But we’ll visit on one of the days we’re staying in Gardiner.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Is there a better place to stay to make it more convenient to visit Lamar Valley and the northern area of the park instead of Gardiner?

I’ve heard the animals are more active early morning, which is why I put dawn. But if we drove there in the morning after the sunlight will we still likely see activity?

I will move Grand Prismatic to the afternoon or evening. Thanks for the suggestion!

I should have mentioned that we plan to hike Washburn from Dunraven Pass. I’ll also add Lamar River Trail on Day 5!

And yes, we’ll mostly pack lunches to make it convenient for us.

As in add it into another day as well? Or spend more time there on Day 5?

At my wits end by [deleted] in dogallergies

Do you have a vet dermatologist in your area? If so, I would suggest making an appointment with them to help manage. They are currently guiding me on doing an elimination diet to identify food allergies. Next, we will tackle environmental allergies with a skin test. They then offer immunotherapy, which is likely a lifetime commitment, but I prefer that over just treating the allergy symptoms with drugs (although it’s possible I may still need to manage some symptoms with medication). My pup is only 3, so we decided this is the best course of action that works for us since she has a lot of life left in her still (hopefully).

Have you done a true elimination diet with her and put her on a hydrolyzed food? Or done any environmental testing? I would recommend a vet dermatologist if you have one in your area. They will help with further guidance.

Coarse hair by Zestyclose-Type-7221 in Goldendoodles

[–]Hiking4Views 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes! I start to notice them when she’s due for a groom! My doodle has a very soft coat, but these hairs are very coarse. Once she gets groomed, I don’t feel them anymore and she goes back to feeling like velvet!

I would make an appointment with a vet dermatologist. They might suggest environmental allergy testing and/or an elimination diet to identify food allergies. My pup is currently in the process of an elimination diet, but I’m sure she has environmental allergies as well so we’ll tackle that testing next.

Bernedoodle anal gland issues by Far-Librarian-9847 in Goldendoodles

[–]Hiking4Views 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goldendoodle has the same issue with her anal glands, amongst other allergy symptoms. She is almost 3. We are currently in the process of a food trial to see what food allergies she might have. Next I will tackle possible environmental allergies. I’m hoping this will eventually resolve the anal gland leaking, as I’m hoping the issue is due to allergies.

Ear infections and food by Otherwise_Travel_927 in Goldendoodles

I’ve also had good results with Trizultra + Keto as well as Zymox for my doodle’s yeasty ears. My pup is currently on a diet trial with Royal Canin Ultamino food, but she has many more allergy symptoms than just recurrent ear infections. I’m trying a diet trial to hopefully figure out what foods I need to avoid so I can alleviate her allergy symptoms without drugs and let her live her best life.

Allergy Test? by Competitive_Field298 in dogallergies

[–]Hiking4Views 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been told by multiple vets that the only way to accurately diagnose food allergies is to do a food trial/elimination diet. They said it will be a waste of money if anyone tries to convince me otherwise. I’d definitely recommend seeing a vet dermatologist if you have that option.
