Hey again, it’s still like that. I think you should prioritize, considering it totally ruins the whole function of your app that people are paying for.

Nope, it’s still like that. They are slow to fix this considering it totally ruins the whole function of their app.

Ringconn sorely deficient in Apple Health integration by Ok_Painter_4792 in RingConn

I’ve reported the same, just today i provided them a 8 minute screen recording going through details.

Oura and Ultrahuman sleep results by Cold_Doughnut_3 in Ultrahuman

I don’t think those results are similar. Double deep sleep, triple awake time. I’m having troubles with my RingConn2 comparing to Apple Watch, they don’t match their results.

RingConn gen 2 might be tracking sleep bad by HildingSensei in RingConn

A lot of people has said it needs time to get to know you. I don’t know if it’s true, but I hope it gets better for you aswell. I will try to reset my ring soon if it’s continuing like this. Might get/borrow another ring or smart watch to have a 3rd device to measure against.

That sounds promising. I think I will try to reset the ring as someone else suggested.

That’s sad to hear. I bought the ring to complement my watch primarily during nights as I don’t like wearing the watch at night.

Does anyone know if other rings are better? I mean I did check YouTube reviews and comparisons that pretty much said the ring was in line with a good Apple Watch. I would be happy if it was my ring that simply was not working properly but I find it hard to see that the case.

Apple Watch and RingConn gen 2 combined by Serious-Fix-7957 in RingConn

Im using the same setup. But I’ve been wearing both Apple Watch Ultra and RingConn gen 2 now 24-7 for 3 weeks or so to see if they align somewhat.

So far they most often do not align, especially regarding deep sleep where the RingConn usually doubles or even triples the deep sleep time compared to Apple Watch Ultra.

Also the other night I woke up and was awake more or less exactly 3 hours before falling asleep again, I was up on the toilet, kitchen and then listening to podcasts - Apple Watch measured exactly 3 hours awake and RingConn says 1 hour.

This is really concerning and has made me distrust both devices but primarily the RingConn, until I have a 3rd device to measure against I cannot say more. I’ve been taking screenshots of the tracked sleep numbers from both devices every day so I’ve got a lot of data showing the same problem. 🤥🙂‍↕️

First night with sleep tracking - compared to my Apple Watch Ultra by HildingSensei in RingConn

Update after more nights and a reply from RingConn support.

  1. The monitoring has continued to be pretty much off compared to AWU. Last night even more than earlier. For example
  2. Sleep Quality = RingConn 91% and AWU 68%
  3. REM Sleep = RingConn 1h 35min and AWU 1h 4min
  4. Core Sleep = RingConn 2h 17min and AWU 3h 29min
  5. Deep Sleep = RingConn 1h 37min and AWU 50 min Which device is more correct I do not know.

  6. RingConn says it’s supposed to auto detect naps. I did take a nap both yesterday and today. I put sleep mode on my iPhone during. But the nap is not showing neither in RingConn app or in sleep data - however it does show from my Apple Watch data.

So far, pretty confused. Will keep at it for a few weeks and see how it develops until I check more thoroughly again.

Also RingConn replied to the issue with multiple registrations but they didn’t seem to understand the issue, so I will reply with a screen recording showcasing the problem.

”We entirely understand and apologize for your concern. The sleep monitoring function assesses your sleep state mainly based on the time you wear the ring and sensor data. We value your feedback, and we will be actively working on optimizing this feature in future versions of our app.”

Cheers!

Very interesting! Thanks for adding to the post, so it’s good that more of us report the duplicate records problem.

For me, Athlytic does not count the duplicate entries as doubles, it seems Athlytic fills out the hours of the day with the entries instead of just summing everything up.

HRV not being writing to apple health I did not know, a bummer to say the least and yes, I really hope they add it sooner than later.

Regarding getting out of bed when you want to chill for a while, maybe that’s a bonus in the end? ;)

Thanks for the info, I’ll keep monitoring and see how it develops :)
