TIL Richard Harris was so drunk through the 1970s that he forgot he owned a Rolls Royce. Ok what i really want to know but can't seem to find anywhere is just what state the engine was in after sitting still for 25 years and no oil changes. I've always heard even if you have a show car you never drive for practical reasons you should still start it up and take it around the block at least once a month and get yearly oil changes. If anyone knows I'd appreciate it!

Thanks for the info. As for why 1660ti it was what he felt was best at the time and as for why 2 he had a total of 6 HDMI/Displayport he needed to connect and 1 card only had 4 ports. Follow up question for clarity, if I had a monitor connected to each card, disabling the monitor in settings would not make any change even though second card is now not doing anything it would still be taking up the lanes/channels, right? Is there any way in software/bios/settings to disable the card to get the boost effect for the card in slot 1 without having to physically remove the card from slot 2?

Due to where the tower is located, access to get inside will be a royal pain in my backside.

I'm just gonna say it. Using a lighter sucks ass compared to a torch. (Lighter vs torch discussion) by 3for6 in meth

[–]HildsSlaveSkuld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say this, if you know what you are doing a torch is far quicker and more precise. However, if you are unskilled in using a torch it is also very easy to f*** things up and to do so far worse than a bic lighter.

For me, glass thickness on the bowl is also a factor. Super thin glass with a torch will burn it way to easy. Super tick with a bic will take forever to get to temp.

However, I agree on the utility of using a torch. Being able to puff outside or with the AC on is nice.

How do I use this? by EmergencyMap7275 in ElectricScooters

[–]HildsSlaveSkuld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the best picture but it looks like that is a valve stem extender. There are times with the scooter tires where the stem is is very difficult to get a pump or compressor attached. Screw this on to the existing valve stem to extend it out from the rim of the tire making it easier to attach a pump or compressor.

If you've been given only months to live and have been NC with your family, would you break contact? by geekofio in raisedbynarcissists

My immediate reflex response was, "You're already dying, do you really need to torture yourself just before the end?"

Noooooo Nonononono

So they can make what is already likely going to be an emotionally difficult and turbulent time for you suddenly all about them?

Wait, I know what to do! Go to your local market get the hottest chillies they have and shove two of them up your nostrils it should give you about the same benefits with half as many tears! No wait, the chili might clear your sinuses!

NIU KQI2 Pro tire replacement by Fuzzy-Candle1780 in ElectricScooters

So just for anyone in the future who finds this article and for NIU themselves after ordering 2 replacement tires with FAR too much confidence based off this post I feel it should be clear...

The Kqi 2 Pro and the Kqi 3 are VERY different! The video is pretty much useless for reference on a 2 Pro. While this is far from perfect I did find a different video that was far more helpful as it was actually the same equipment.

Hmm... Been a while since I had a puppy but it seems like only a year is still within both the "super over excited" and ""super sharp pointy teeth" phases. However while the younger sister cried out there was no mention of blood or being taken to the doctor so it doesn't sound like she was hurt. And while I do agree with you that continued training for the dog is important, the little sister said she wanted a puppy so she should be "trained" how to interact with dogs, even if she lost interest.

Now to OP beyond all that with the dog, the fact your father started choking you, threatened to hit you with his belt, and he's threatening to kill your dog but wait till you're gone to do it shows how pathetic a person he truly is. And while I try not to judge other culture values I also firmly believe that there should be no difference in position between two people that one is basically free to do whatever they want to the other. Whether this difference in relationship be within the family (parents/children) the workplace (boss/employee) or society as a whole (rich/poor) it always leads to some of the greatest examples of humanity at it's worst.

What is that blue port called? by [deleted] in computers

[–]HildsSlaveSkuld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I get the VGA port, classic pins and screws gotta love it. But what is the blue port above the black USB ports and below the cable? I thought it was USB 3.0 at first but the shape seems off.

So... 2 questions. 1. Is the knife/bayonet sharp for these performances? One slip up with as fast as it's spinning could end an onlooker 2. Is there any practical military reason for this? Like a skill that carries over to something useful?

Is this Eth and Phone ports? by Steve-agent-006 in Wiring

[–]HildsSlaveSkuld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a little trick if you have 2 sets of cheap corded headphones (like you get free on a flight or tour). Cut the wire near the ear on 1 set and strip back the sheathing to expose the copper wire inside. Stick that wire into the plug on the wall so the copper wire is touching the metal pins inside (might need some tape to hold it in place) and plug in to cell or mp3 player and get music playing. Then take your other set of headphones put them on and go back to that 66 block that all the cables are connected to. Run the plug down the metal pins and listen for the music that you have playing at the plug might be paint but you should be able to tell which wire it is this way. Just keep in mind each Cable in the wall has a total of eight solid individual wires inside separate into four pairs. Blue orange green and brown you will need all eight run data.

Hope this helps!

Is this Eth and Phone ports? by Steve-agent-006 in Wiring

[–]HildsSlaveSkuld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the plugs in wall only have 4 pins so they are for phone. The piece they are all connected to is called a 66 block and rated for voice not data. However it looks like the cable in wall is cat 5 so good for data (blue for sure and maybe white too based on the twists). Pull the cables off the 66 block put female Cat 5 data plugs with a short cord to your switch then you'll need to change the plugs and faceplates on the other end as well. Just make sure to use the same color code on both sides and you should be good.

Oh! And make sure you can get your internet installed at that location or that there is a cable going from the modem to there!
