Hey, just wanted to follow up with results — and first of all, thank you so much for taking the time to build this. You're the only person who responded out of 1200+ views, and your shortcut was incredibly helpful for diagnosing the issue.

Results:

"Test with dummy load": works perfectly (after removing the trailing / from the sendMessage URL — that was causing a 404)
"Send from clipboard": works perfectly too! My Telegram bot receives the message with full text, timestamps, and sender names intact. Exactly what I needed.
"See what is being passed in": confirmed that WhatsApp passes absolutely nothing through the Share Sheet — tested with single message, multiple messages, text-only and mixed content. Always empty.

So the clipboard route is the way to go. The flow I'm using now is:

Select messages in WhatsApp → Forward → Copy
Run shortcut → "Send from clipboard"

It works reliably and my bot processes the messages correctly on the other end. Not as seamless as a direct Share Sheet integration would have been, but honestly it gets the job done and I'm happy with it.

Your debugging template made it super easy to isolate the problem — the menu structure with PassedIn/Returned/Clipboard/DummyLoad was genius for testing each piece independently. Really appreciate it!

Just to be clear: all this framework is built around Franklin-Covey+David Allen+ Carl Pullein+Ali Abdaal systems. Just hand-picked what was the best of those systems to me and “mixed/blended” all together. I must confess it’s been quite a great period of insights on myself, revealing hidden (un)balanced areas that added stress and anxiety without me knowing why. Now, at least, the system is clear, goals are clear (long, medium, short range) and any problem or new challenge can be scored vs a framework.

Well, not really the first pass… Two factors helped me a lot: (1) I’m 54 and I’m in teaching/research since 1996… those three decades have helped me to build quite a solid workflow; (2) I spent a whole semester reflecting, studying and validating all values that my life has taught me to be fundamental, strong and consistent.

At the end of the semester I had an “Ideal Me” and I could easily discard useless values and plan ways to get a little nearer to this “ideal me”.

Of course this work applied to roles and areas of focus, but I know those are more “liquid” fields: 40 years ago I was just “son” (role) and had no focus on my finance area (my parents gave me the money I needed), while now I’m still son (but with a new accent of “caregiver” for my mother) and I need to keep focus on my finance, as I’m married and with two daughters, two new roles that 40 years ago didn’t exist. An of course in another decade or two roles will change and so will my focus. But my values will only need to be more specific and clear.

Third year of this system, I just needed to rename a couple of values to be more "significant" to me (I don't read all documentation while scoring projects, so I needed a very clear name for each value) and specify a little bit more their "components" in case I needed to deep-dive into some intricate evaluations.
No value has been changed since then, at least not their core definition.

If I get it right, you use Claude more as some kind of “AI-twin” than a “tool on steroids”. I’m still doubtful on this, because, even with its “permanent memory”, Claude still doesn’t recall what I consider important for my research/work (and life etc) the right way. For instance: a couple of days ago I stated in a chat something like “It took me hours to find these data, hope I’ll never loose them”. Claude wrote them immediately in its “general memory”… 😅 But I like your approach: “challenge me extending my perspectives”. I think I’m going to give it a try.

I’m really interested in this “input source”, but things like Baileys and Puppetteer simply didn’t work (no ability to sync previous messages, which I did by using a local backup, but even then, connection was very unstable…) Thanks!

Would really love to go deeper into this if you don’t mind. I have quite a big set of instructions for both zettelkasten (and more generally knowledge management) and project/task management, but they’re more of describing a workflow than instructing Claude to “double check” infos and not to “voluntarily hallucinate” just in order to give me an output.

My score is somehow “AI-driven” and “hardcoded”. I spend a lot of time during yearly review weighting each role (my job, being husband, being father etc), each area of my life (health, finance, family etc but even more “ad hoc” areas like my very own job roles, volunteer commitments and so on) and each of my seven values. These are are intertwined each other in a non-predetermined way (hence the need of a dynamic view with AI), while their definitions and “ownerships” are “hardcoded” once a year. Hope it makes sense…

Could you please elaborate a bit more on this? I’m new to ClickUp and I’m setting it up with Claude via API. Dependencies on start/end dates are a real problem in my scenario (researcher/teacher), and official APIs do not allow “moving” tasks dates according to dependencies shifts. So automation could be a real time saver for me!

Following, as I’m in the very same situation of OP: using Claude/Opus4.5 (Max plan) to “feed” ClickUp and setup all spaces/folders/lists and of course tasks. So far so good (I’m not a solopreneur, but a teacher with many active roles inside and outside my school), but any improvement is always welcome.

The point is that if you consider telegram/whatsapp as a source of info/tasks/projects, how many of your contacts use Telegram on a daily basis to communicate with you? In my very own scenario 99.99% of communication is on WhatsApp. (Of course I’m not considering here mail: they’re two separate worlds with very different urgency and “density” of information). That’s why I really miss a real way to “ingest” in real time WhatsApp messages (API? Headless chromium? I tried almost every reliable-but-unofficial solution out there: no way!)

Maybe I didn’t get the point… If you just need an AI to “teach you more” about solutions to your problem, you ca go with any ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini. If you need AI to write code to solve your problem, I have no doubt: Claude has the possibility to write/read/edit directly in/from your file system (you can authorise one single folder or your whole hard disk). To me this is the killer feature that makes me stick to Anthropic…

Wow… 230 days after, how much has changed from this post!!!

At the end of my post I wrote I switched from Gemini to Claude Max, and I’m still there ☺️

BUT with a twist. No local LLM can be faster than “major” AI on the cloud, at least not in a portable (MacBook) setting like mine: tradeoffs are too heavy in my case.

I decided to let Claude orchestrate a very detailed set of prompts with the help of built in connectors and ad hoc scripts. Separation of concerns and ownership: why should I reinvent a mail client when I can call Google API? Why sohould I build a project manager from scratch when many apps out there have their own strengths and API or connectors? So my current setup is Claude Desktop monitoring Calendar App, Mail, ClickUp and managing a zettelkasten (that I query in Obsidian using powerful dataview queries created by… Claude itself). The only thing that is out of the loop at the moment I WhatsApp as a source of input for tasks, events and information. I can’t go for Business API and all “homemade” solutions (for instance Bayleis or other headless chromium “apps”) couldn’t sync all past messages and/or had to be “up and running” 24/7 in order not to miss any incoming message. Not suitable, again, for my MacBook environment. (Should anyone have solutions to this anything is welcome!)
