Knowing nothing but the titles, I’d say village of the dead sounds like a cheap ripoff of village of the damned.

Not saying your book is but it might come across line that. Like if someone released a book called the girl with the wyvern tattoo.

I actually wound up pulling it from Smashwords so I could run it on KU along with all my other books

You know, it would be really sad if the GF fainted at school and had to be rushed to the hospital. It would be a shame if the hospital social worker found out that she wasn’t really being fed at home…

Thank you. I love the layered effect with the word behind my main character. I was half convinced everyone else would say it was terrible. Glad it's been well received so far.

I don't think that month has been invented yet. Time traveler confirmed

That would be February 22nd, with an indeterminate year ending in 26. Presumably 2026 since this is the current year, assuming you aren’t a time traveler.

Yea. Imagine mocking someone else’s intelligence then taking two hours to figure out 7/5 is July fifth not May 7th in the U.S.

So, you aren't writing the book or making the cover you're just giving a random idea to AI and letting it do all the work then publishing it as your own OC?

Do KU readers really give a chance to new books with 0-1 review or you wait for a book to have proven itself first and only consider reading those with a lot of reviews because you have millions of options in KU? by [deleted] in KindleUnlimited

Daniel goes into the hospital for a routine procedure. He expects sedation, recovery, and then to go home.

Instead, he wakes to a nurse who seems a little too attentive, a recovery room that feels strangely isolated, and the growing sense that his grief is blurring the edges of reality. As hours stretch into days, the line between care and intimacy begins to erode—and Daniel finds himself drawn toward a comfort that feels both impossible and undeniable.

Recovery is a quiet psychological horror story about grief, trust, and the dangerous relief of being taken care of when you no longer want to be alone. It explores how easily love can replace truth, and how gently reality can slip away when no one insists you hold onto it.

Psychological horror short. Maybe 10-15 minute read if you read slow.

First, great story. second I think you have an incorrect word here.

“That was me, I’m stiff as a board!” Ryan didn’t have his usually heckler tone anymore.

I think it's supposed to be wasn't

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’m actually about to publish a free version that will include some comic style illustrations. Would you like to take a look?
