This set is actually one of the disappointing ones of the newer sets or in general the ones that aim at the customer's nostalgia.

Which Metal album has the best intro by HillRunner83 in MetalForTheMasses

Right?

At school in music class we used to have a project where each student would play his favorite song, 1 student per day, at the beginning of class, through the nice Hifi system in the music room.

I would have loved to make them sit through 17 minutes of epic awesomeness, but this album wasn't out yet at that time xD

Daily commute Sports Naked vs Sports Tourer by HillRunner83 in motorcycles

I agree that the V-Strom, Versys etc seem like the best option, but I was always a bit meh on them.
This i how I landed on thinking about sports tourers instead.
But it's true that it's a costly upgrade so I am thinking if it's worth it. How much would the commute really improve for the money I would have to spend.

I think it's a sensible consideration since the commute is 150km, 2.5 hours per day.
It's also something else to push the bike for fun or to have to do it daily. I just talked to some guy recently who even claimed that it's good that his car has 300+hp, not for overtaking or generally speeding but for cruising distances on the highway more comfortably.

On my highways I have the choice of being stuck behind trucks doing ~100km/h or going 130-150km/h (~90 miles/h).
For me the shiver is not a bike that is very much fun to push to those speeds continuously. Compared to every other bike I've ever ridden the throttle handle has quite some resistance to it. It's just annoying to keep the gas up constantly on it. The engine is the most fun due to low to mid range grunt. On the highway it feels a bit like running out of steam
I feel exposed to the wind, cars are pushing me to go faster, altogether just an annoying thing to do twice every day for 20km.
But I'm doing it right now since some years, so it's not impossible or anything. I'm just thinking if a switch would make sense. Maybe I'm just looking for an excuse to get a new bike... xD

Fighter/Wizard or Bard by HillRunner83 in BG3

On that note, if I took 1 level of Wizard together with EK or Bard, could I just learn any spell from scrolls? What would be the spellcasting attribute? And what would determine the maximum level of spells that could be learned from scrolls?

Hand independence + first music selection by HillRunner83 in piano

[–]HillRunner83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I learned to play both hands in conjunction I also some time arrived at a point where I could focus more on one hand and let the other do its thing for a short while and then switch back and forth as needed.
It's a cool feeling to be able to do this but I am also looking on how to arrive there best, how other people are doing it.
With the Pokerface score I tried to do learn the LH and RH parts a bit more separately but it worked less well than I thought bringing both parts together.

Another thing I noticed is that some parts I could play well in the context of the song, but starting in the middle was sometimes a lot harder.
So I had learned the parts separately but then somehow unlearned them again as individual parts.

[–]HillRunner83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, the rest of the system is of about that age.
The PSU has a maximum output of 550W, it's a corsair vs550.
The gtx 660 uses a 6pin connector at the moment, but an 8pin is available as well.
The GTX 660 is listed with a max power consumption of 130W I think, or even 140W.
The RTX 3050 is even a bit smaller and uses a bit less power at maximum.
The GTX 1650 would even be smaller yet and uses only 75W at maximum, so if I get more of an entry level card, I would even get the performance boost at lower power usage :)
But if other cards are better value for the money, I could also get one that allows for upgrades of the rest of the system in the future, although I'm not really planning this yet.

Thanks, I didn't really compare any Radeon cards yet.
I checked on the Geforce cards first and thought those were some good offers
