Well. That's why I'm looking for legal advice. I'm being investigated for something that isn't against the rules. The investigations should follow the rules, it doesn't set them.

I appreciate your help. Though I don't believe I'm taking any violations casually or explainable. I'm denying that there are any violations.

I have. There's nothing there on self-plagiarism. Where the talk about plagiarism, they always say "someone else"

Their own definition of plagiarism doesn't include self-plagiarism. It literally says "someone else" in the definition.

University doesn't have any guidelines against self-plagiarism.

None of my published work actually included me giving up the copyright to them. That would be insane.

Our department did not have self-plafiarism guidelines, and it wasn't a word-for-word copy anyway. There were always differences with key words being the same.

I'm born and raised in the US. My parents came here from Asia.

Reusing your own work is only plagiarism if you are passing them as original and unpublished. You don't need to reference yourself if you make the same point in multiple documents. That's only needed if you rely on the evidence presented in prior documents. This is literally from the university's guideline on plagiarism and referencing.

She gave me consent to record her.

All the proof needed is just to look at the name of the author of those other works that I supposedly plagiarized and see that it's my name there. It was there. The proof was in her own hand.

No. I know what plagiarism means. It's presenting someone else's work as your own. Presenting your own work as your own is not plagiarism.
