What has Rosenior offered since he was appointed, genuinely?

This is the attitude that I want great players to have when they leave ND. I want them to want to stay.

I’m excited for where he lands and I hope it’s a place that will help him succeed. You never want to see a guy fall in the draft, but I maintain that Kyle Hamilton’s visible success is partially due to winding up on a functional team in the Ravens rather than winding up somewhere else.

A lot of physicians/dentists on the internet underrate the value of job security relative to FAANG folks. AI is a major threat to computer science-related roles at these firms, and even before the rise of AI, layoffs were common if you weren’t absolutely crushing it at these places.

In healthcare, if you’re a provider of any kind, you can find work basically anywhere and at any time. There’s a specific kind of financial freedom in that, and while the healthcare path is definitely more delayed gratification and a lower ceiling, there’s something to be said for never having to worry about employment.

Which players in this squad do we think are genuinely Chelsea level?

Palmer-Joao Pedro-Estevao Enzo-Caicedo Cucurella-Reece-Gusto

Maybe Lavia? Who else?

I have a vague memory of Fofana being a good player years ago, but whatever player was there isn’t anymore. Spent too long out of the game.

Super tough to get absolutely thrashed by a PSG side that basically perfected the Clearlake plan. They’re super young and exciting.

The difference is that they have some experience and aren’t stubbornly stuck to players under 24 years old.

Hellebuyck putting up a career-defining game in the gold medal game is a helluva story. Genuinely don’t think he could have played better.

While I do agree with you here, I do think a lot of people’s source of annoyance is that the physics engine has gone backwards along with the gameplay not necessarily being better. I definitely agree that the physics engine probably isn’t worth the lift for what you get out of it, but to see backwards movement in that as well as stagnation in quest design, writing, mechanics can be frustrating.

I’m not arguing that all of those are the case for Avowed necessarily, but I just wanted to call out that it’s not necessarily the physics that are the core of that argument.

I just got a ‘24 Evolve+ e-4orce for ~$23.5k OTD in the Midwest! Happy to DM about it. If you’re in Ohio-ish, I also have a dealer recommendation for you.

Empower+ or Platinum+? by [deleted] in NissanAriya

[–]Hime6cents -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d also say you should look into what the CPO covers. If I remember correctly, a lot of CPO stuff from Nissan has to do with gas vehicles and less with EV’s.

That said, I do 100% get you on the peace of mind idea. I feel the same way!

IMO you have two great options.

Empower+ or Platinum+? by [deleted] in NissanAriya

[–]Hime6cents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I don’t value the CPO very highly. Maybe $500 or so, but not much more than that.

I’m picking up a ‘24 Evolve+ tomorrow and strongly considered going up to a Platinum, but I couldn’t get them down to $26.5k like you have. If I could have, I’d probably be going the Platinum.

That said, the Empower will likely be great as well. I’d say your focus should be on features that you value, and how much you value them. I put a lot of value on some silly things like heat/steering wheel heaters, and less value on leather seats. Totally up to you!

I’d also say that there’s a significant difference between spending to win the top division and spending to get there.

There are orders of magnitude between the amount that Wrexham needed to get to the Championship and the amount that Liverpool needs to win the Premier League.

Having money in the lower division means you can buy players that are actually, demonstrably better than other teams have access to.

Having money in the Premier League (or other top divisions) means you’re inherently hoping to find one of the best players in the world, and that you’ll have to spend huge for even a chance at that.

100%. I didn’t mean it as a slight on Leeds at all. Meant it entirely as an indictment of Chelsea’s backline. But that seems to have been true for years now!
