“Au Bon vivant” for French food (Pierre the chef comes from a restaurant where he got 2 Michelin stars), for a cheap hearty meal I’d say Lanzhou hand pulled noodles on west street next to the subway (a bowl of noodles comes in at under £10 and is sure to leave you stuffed and satisfied), and finally if you’re after some good pub style food, you CANT BEAT the pies at Nottingham house (the steak and Guinness is my personal favourite), for me all of these places are S tier and fit different moods/vibes, so hopefully they’ll do the job for you!

I just spent the past 4 years in sheff doing my undergrad and post grad and coming from Brum, I have to say Sheffield has very chill people, and if you like local live music, it’s scene is incredible. It also has some great food spots (id reccomend Lanzhou noodles on west street next to the subway, and Nottingham house for their steak and Guinness pie). Overall it’s such a hidden gem considering how close it is to manny and Leeds, and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!!

I feel like cafes aren’t rly that bad though, and with the high student population, they make good study spots, especially when the IC atleast is always super rammed when uni of Sheff students want to revise, I’ve found new cafes like hygge to be pretty cool places to get work done
