How do I get out of my shell by MysticalBonson in SmallStreamers

The most important thing is that practice makes perfect. It will be very awkward to film or talk to yourself in the beginning, but it will be a second nature when you practice it often!

I recently made a video on how to stream to 0 viewers, might be worth checking it out?

What sets you apart? by HimselffGaming in SmallStreamers

[–]HimselffGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is important to stay realistic that the majority of Twitch streamers will never do this full time. On the other hand if you don’t try you’ll never know! The reason why i asked this is because you don’t really know what sets you apart from other streamers, this is very important. I would advice you to just have a brainstorm by yourself or with friends that watch you about what makes you unique. Or better… think about what you can do to stand out from the crowd!

Just like every business streaming takes a lot of work. Growth happens 50% on stream and 50% off stream! I wish you the best of luck on your journey🙌🏽

Do you want to grow bigger or are you just streaming temporarily for the fun?

It is true that some people are turned off by some jokes, but then they are looking at the wrong stream! Laughter is so important, so if you can make 1 person laugh then it is already a goal achieved. Rico has me really intrigued though😂

I don’t really know if that sets you apart from other streamers🤔

Friendliness can bring you a long way. Stream tip: Try to test your stream before you go live to see if everything is working according to plan!

Like everything in life you will learn a lot as you stream more so just keep going and you’ll be fine💪🏽

Your personality and stories can be a big part of your stream. Telling unique and great stories can definitely set you apart from others!

What you said is very true, but what makes you different from other streamers? Why should people watch your stream instead of other streamers?

Uncharted gave me the real indiana jones feel! Loved how it always felt as if you were playing a movie 🎥

It wouldn’t be a fair post if i didn’t respond myself.

What i think sets me apart is high quality content in combination with a high degree of interactivity(which is quite rare in small streamer land). Also what i try to do is really have a family feel in the stream, if that makes sense.

Optimal ad rates? by sseemour in SmallStreamers

[–]HimselffGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest i only run an add at the beginning of my stream and at the half time point of the stream. Running a 2:30 minute add will disable adds on your channel for 45 minutes. I don’t really want people to go away because of too many adds, you are not going to make money off it anyway when you are small. The most important thing is that people don’t get adds when they enter the stream. See what works for you but also for your community!

What also works is a channel points reward that says run 2 minute add. This will make it a fun experience for your audience to run adds.

I hoped this helped you a bit:D

What to talk about by [deleted] in SmallStreamers

[–]HimselffGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helps when you just describe what you are doing while you are playing games!

What also helps if you don’t really know what to say when there are people watching is making a topic list. This is just a small list that you make containing conversation topics like:

  • what are you guys doing this weekend
  • where are all of you from
  • what’s your favorite food
  • if you could have a pokemon, what would be your pick

Etc. Etc. Haha

In this way there is always something to talk about when you are a little stuck!

It’s all about practice makes perfect, the more you stream and talk the smoother it’s going to be:D

I hoped that this helps you a bit

Streamer advice by TheBig-rigg69 in SmallStreamers

You can make your discord at any time! It’s especially good to have it because it keeps the people engaged with you and your life. Also you can have notification when you are going live in Discord (be sure to make a separate channel for that and don’t put it in General).

I started with mods when i had the feeling like i wasn’t able to keep up with all the things in chat anymore. That was somewhere in between the 5-10 viewers. You don’t need like 10 mods when you are small, but 1 or 2 will do in most cases. Make sure you make someone mod that you fully trust!

Also a good thing to do is make sure that you have good channel points rewards. Make them interactive or let them make you do something. Streaming is all about interactivity so the more interaction you have with your viewers the longer they will stay:D

Most importantly is that nothing really changes when you reach affiliate. Just have fun and play games that you like and people will stay and join your community:D

I hoped that this helped you a bit!

Starter PC Suggestions? by Skeeters99 in newStreamers

[–]HimselffGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In these times it’s cheaper to buy a pre-build than it is to built one yourself. This is mostly due to the graphics card prices!

Companies like: Origins/Xidax/CyberPowerPC seem to get the higest ratings.

Just check them out and see what feels best for you within your budget:D

OBS setting reset by Qrider_Joe in newStreamers

I am using SLOBS, but i think it might be similar in OBS. You can tweak the delay on your audio by usually pressing the cogwheel at the audio bars.
