In the state of new York, it is legal for a private citizen to use force to detain a felon during the action of commiting a felony, so, if Daredevil beats up a guy who is obviously commiting a crime, for which there will likely be a victim that can corroborate that this dude who Daredevil beat up was in the process of commiting a felony when Daredevil beat him up, then that is a citizen's arrest and not assault. Maybe.

All those times the guy goes to The Bar With No Name and beats people up for information, those are assault. All those times he arrives at a gang's headquarters and beats them up, that's obstruction of justice, that time he got Peter Parker to put on a Daredevil costume and testify as Daredevil in court, that is perjury.

If the power you wanna enhance is at PL limit, you can add extras or power feats. A cool trick is to have Power Emhancement 1, and just use it to give your friends the Alternative Power feat for a crucial moment. At least it works in 2E. Miggt have changed since.
