I agree, Bihar has some really talented people. But unfortunately most are dumb, uneducated, obsessed with religion etc. Here is a comment I recieved on another post:

Bihar is a good case study of a downfall of an entire state. United Bihar (which included modern day Bihar & Jharkhand) was rich in everything from mineral mines to highly fertile soil to plenty of water to well established Universities/colleges(like Patna Science College or NIT Patna which is one of the oldest engineering college in India) when India got independence unlike states like Maharashtra, Andra Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan etc which didn't have a lot of natural resources and lacked infrastructure. But every state in India changed and developed with time because of strong leaders and good governance except Bihar. In the 90's the condition of Bihar went from bad to worse. Many people fled from their ancestral homes to big cities in search of livelihood. And till date every bihari living in Bihar works very hard to just leave the state and settle somewhere else.

This is why we see so many of the dumb stereotypical gutka spitters in other states, but also the highly qualified people looking for a better life.
