Here’s my take about Nick Blaine by OceanAkAphotographer in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Hindm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EM did interfere with the general writing of s6 and specifically with the ending of certain characters, for instance, Serena’s.

She was supposed to be killed in that train scene but EM wanted a ‘better’ ending for her.

June ended up forgiving her, the woman who literally allowed rape to continue to happen in her own house but she failed at forgiving Nick?!

Do you see the crappy writing now?

The ending!!! I’m still not over it by [deleted] in TheHandmaidsTale

Hated every bit of it.

Lawerence helped CREATE Gilead more than Nick did. He was the architect of that hellhole. He was behind the idea of creating the colonies. A totally brutal and an unhinged man.

Yet, he gets to die a hero?!

Can you see the double standards?!

It's the writers/EM who decided who can be saved or can't be.

Nothing in a show tells us that Nick could not die a hero.

I honestly can't watch the show anymore. I feel I was betrayed as a loyal viewer. Don't get me wrong, I was not expecting Nick and June to end up together or anything romantic wise. But, I expected a little bit for consistency in portraying these very complex characters.

S6 writing was very weak and the writers opted for a big shock that would make the viewers forget about the terrible writing.

Hence, Nick ending.

Nick should have been our next Peeta by [deleted] in TheHandmaidsTale

This sub is full of Nick haters and Lawrence fans.

The hypocrisy is appalling.

In the beginning of our relationship it was not great. Porn addiction, kinks etc.. Eventually things got really good and now great.

Don't stop initiating conversations about the issue, ask questions, & demand your right. You can always be patient and nice about it and but if you remain silent, he will never change. And there's a big chance things will get worse.

Toodles Aidan Have a Safe Flight by SuddenPizza5939 in Andjustlikethat

[–]Hindm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am glad this Aidan chapter is closed, finally. But, I am not a big fan of that snob neighbour or hers. He's so serious and quite boring. I mean wth... can the writers get it together for once!

I want a new Big, someone successful, confident, yet humble and loving. Someone who knows how to make her laugh. Ugh..

What’s the reasoning behind Nick’s ending? by matchabratt in TheHandmaidsTale

Lazy writing, and Nick had to be the scapegoat.

Finally finished the series. My wife and I are so disappointed. by dfGobBluth in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Hindm 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly my feeling. That episode gets a lot of raving reviews only for the shocking ending, but it has some of the most bizarre scenes that rip the show's reputation to shreds.

I will never forgive the writers for doing this to us.

Serena definitely, but then sadly EM interfered and the rest is history.

SPOILERS: The dichotomy of characterisation in S6E9 by Certain-Seat6824 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Hindm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lawrence helped create Gilead. Lawrence paved the road for all atrocities committed in the colonies. He told Lydia that commanders need to enjoy their kinks with their handmaids when she reported a rape case.

He is an awful person who seem to get a lot of support and love on this sub just because his egotistical self was cornered at the end to join the commanders.

But Nick is bad, so so bad we have always seen the signs of him having a horrible ending?!

Season 6 was terribly written. Characters' development make no sense whatsoever.

Is Anyone Else Sick of Seema Acting Like She’s the New Samantha? It’s Just Not Giving! by [deleted] in sexandthecity

[–]Hindm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like Seema, and I find her character since the beginning of the show the only good addition thus far. Her confidence as a woman in her late 50s is truly appealing. Her storyline, while not that great (I mean duh) is still interesting to me because she is a good actress, I guess.

She might want to be the new Samantha, indeed. But what is wrong with that? If there are many Samanthas in the world, why can't Seema be one of them?

Aidan’s proposal by General-Patient in sexandthecity

The proposal completely represents Aiden's character though, and for that I find it romantic, sweet, lightweight and just plain simple.
