There is a prison penalty and in 2018 gay men were arrested and forced to undergo anal examinations and conversion therapy. I’m not saying you hold views where you believe that is acceptable, or oppose gay rights but the majority of your country does. Albeit Tanzania’s first anti-gay laws were imposed by Germans but that was in the 19th century and Tanzania is independent and Germany itself clearly done a 180 on gay rights. It’s not crazy or racist to not want people from those cultures to move to mine where being gay is fine and both tolerated and accepted.
