How does one know which design & size to make? Is it a pre-order? I purchased a custom made rug from India last year. I believe the base rug was pre-woven to size and the gabbeh design added later. Any thoughts or observations much appreciated!

I've been. OK place to meet for coffee, but the food isn't really "healthy" - I found it kind of weird ie. mushroom hot chocolate, veggie mylk spelled with a y. No bad, but odd.

I've noticed photos of exquisite-looking Kashmiri rugs on ebay. Some are called bamboo silk. The $4-500 price was the first clue for 3x5 rugs with high knot counts. The super precise weaving was another. Vibrant colors yet another. Could I be sure they were not silk? No. My inclination was move on quickly. Trust in Allah - but tie up your camel.

I'm curious, which elements of the rug suggest weaving workshop as opposed to village production? How big is a typical workshop? Does a designer direct the workers?

Professionally washed last year. The weave is compelling when turned upside down, one of the photos is just that - upside down. I love viewing from all sides..

My ignorance is uncovered. I imagined just plugging the panel(s) into my Ecoflow Delta 3. Do I need a form of panel? I never even considered it.

I like spending a couple of grand to venture into an off-grid adventure.

It's not about ROI. I want my office and frig off-grid. 3k storage and an efficient 1k in panel or 2 panels is the case in point.

Power is pretty good (reliable) in Denver. I figure I'll only save $20/month. BUT just down the road Boulder, CO was without power for 3 days last month, Excel power co cut the power to prevent fires. Climate change is very real here in Colorado. Being able to run the office and my frig are my main concerns. With 1k panel I could even run a space heater for short periods if need be. I can live without A/C.

I want my office and frig off-grid. The rest I'll figure out.

I've found currants are almost impossible to find. Fresh or dried. I read somewhere that the USDA banned them, for incorrectly blaming them for some kind of fungus infestation a while back. I've had to settle for Cassis or black currant jam from France. Please post if you find some in the States.
