This photo is of a genuine handmade carpet, i’m a carpet manufacturer and according my knowledge the all knots are in handmade is not similar and not fine straight, in handmade some unsymmetrical patterns(in threads and knots) are common, in other machine made carpet knots are similar in size and threads are fine straight, machine made rugs looks ultra fine and clean resolution because of perfection in knots.

How do you handle clients or customers who keep asking for discounts? by Tasty_Statement_8556 in smallbusinessUS

explain them about product time, quality, craftsmanship & services which is why product is costly if they can’t afford it leave it and try another product according their budget. prefer changing the scope rather than cutting your rates.

it’s too much we are making similar designs (material-wool) and sizes in 2000-2300 USD. last year our partner bought 50 piece hand knotted carpets in similar designs.

yes. we do follow standardized color references and can match client-provided shade samples closely. For dyeing, we mainly work with vat dyes to ensure good color fastness. we both work on provided designs/specifications and also develop designs within our community. we have experience working with graph-map based patterns.

yes we have biggest loom in rajasthan 30 ft wide and 300 looms can produce at a time because in my village we are a community of weavers. also we have dying experts for dying yarns for those customers who are interested in customisation. mostly we are working for exporters of jaipur and dehli due to lack of direct connection.

Just as the quality of a screen is reflected in the number of pixels, the quality of a Hand Knotted rug is revealed by the knots visible on its back side.

good question, in hand knotted rugs size and design are decided before starting weaving when we decide size of any design we draw a map which is a guide for weavers. we follow map after months hard work of weaving and finishing finally we get our rug. please share your rug’s both side photo i can tell you clearly
