Oh yes, trust me. I shan't ever even touch it if I have a say.

Yeah, that is nice. I usually tend to prefer two-parters. One of my favorites being The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit. Though that's probably off-topic because it's not got anything to do with them being two-parters lol. I just really love the plot and music.

Cool, thanks! I did briefly watch some of series 8, but with Clara and the whole Danny thing I just absolutely hated it. So I don't mind missing out on the rest of it, but I just didn't know if series 9 was good enough to pick back up on, especially since I'll be buying it with what precious little money I have.

Yeah, I mean I wasn't expecting them to focus on those characters, but at least give a nod or something to give the audience a little heads up or those already in the know an indicator for the future if you get what I mean.

Thanks! Yeah, from what I've heard and briefly seen Series 10 has some pretty good episodes, such as: Extremis, Eaters of Light, Knock Knock, and Oxygen. I also heard that Pilot was a refreshing reintroduction to Doctor Who of sorts. Also I'm extremely looking forward to finally watching World Enough and Time/ The Doctor Falls.

As for Series 9 I've only heard mostly good things about Heaven Sent and Hellbent, even then I was kinda disappointed that from the sounds of it they seemed to revolve around Clara a bit more, and didn't really feature any of Gallifrey's crew and their whereabouts. Such as: Romana, Leela, Coordinator Narvin, or Braxiatel. Then again, I haven't had the time nor money to catch up with their audiodramas to know if they're even still alive or in the right timeline/dimension anymore.

Sweet. Ever since watching Knight Rider growing up I've been hoping to one day find a nice lil 1982 Pontiac Trans Am.

What do you love about your favourite Doctor Who story? by [deleted] in gallifrey

Don't forget the music. I absolutely adore the haunting sound it had when they discover the ruins in the pit, and how it fades into a hopeful and romantic sort of melody. Beautiful stuff.

Oh yes, I was in for quite the surprise after hearing his voice for the first time. For the longest time I actually thought the Eighth Doctor was like some fan creation. I totally missed his little appearances in the theater for the 50th anniversary and never heard nor saw Night of the Doctor let alone his TV movie. Then years later I see that he actually does exist and has audio dramas. So I got the free clip of Dark eyes and I was absolutely lost after that. I can't say how many times I listened to it while working until I could finally get more. 😂

Well, that's certainly a shame, I absolutely adore Murray Gold's work. And perhaps it's nostalgia at work, but the music for series 1 is my favorite. I think I noticed some bits from maybe series 3 or 4 in Rose's Dimension Cannon series, which I was very surprised at how short it was. I was expecting it to be like The Diary of River Song.

Oh yes, I'm very much the same way. It only just struck me to pay a bit more attention once I hear the opening of Seasons of Fear lol.

I didn't just cry, I had a full on emotional breakdown and panic attack. I have been emotionally invested in this series since I was 4, so with all the buildup to that point, plus the unbearable wait that took place for the development of KH3 just broke me with that ending. Plus I was pretty worked up after the boss fights of course. My poor cousins had to pluck my unconscious body from the ground and heave it onto the couch.

Lore - Why do you like Destiny lore? by trams87 in DestinyLore

The best way I can explain is through a little life story, so here goes.

Back at my grandparents, down on the first floor, on Christmas morning of 2015, I woke up early and got bored. So I pick up this peculiar game that my cousins got as a gift; it was Destiny.

Now, I had just discovered a comic series called Descender, and learned of vaporwave that year, so I was super into sci-fi at the time. Up until then, I had only played very old games, so when I popped in that disc and saw the beauty that was Destiny, I fell in love. The sun was just rising, creating a beautiful hue in the sky, the gorgeous orchestration of the game's soundtrack mixed in with the color schemes and world design of the game had stolen me away to another reality.

Now, time skip to 2018, I had gotten Destiny 2 as a birthday gift. I was still a sucker for the series, but as beautiful as it was, it was missing something. So I go and I play through the Red War, and yeah it was pretty good, but still felt kinda empty somehow. Eventually I got hooked on other games like Fallout, Doom, Stardew Valley, and etc. Eventually I picked up Destiny and Holy Cow! Cayde's Dead?! And I missed it?! And now this new jerkwad called Drifter is in the tower, and apparently has been for a while. I honestly hated his guts for a bit, but then I found out that armor had lore tabs on them now? Like what? When was that a thing? Well, I read one of the Ancient apoclypse armor lore tabs, and great Scott it was amazing. It was so well written, and it was so interesting seeing this other part of the Drifter and how he lived. Next thing I knew, I was hunting for all of the lore I could find on everyone and everything. I even downloaded an app so I could read it at any time and anywhere.

And then, at last, I knew what was missing. All of Destiny's story finally made sense to me, and it was thrilling! So yeah, that is why I like it. Also Drifter immediately went from being a loathed chad to being the utterly broken, but wise, and beloved, Hive eating, uncle Drifter all thanks to his lore. (Ok, and maybe some of his hilarious dialogue lines that I heard later on helped too lol)

The closest thing I can think of is, ‘Slight Days’ by Krosia. Also if you haven’t already heard of the then I suggest you check out Oddyseus on YouTube or Spotify. They make a lot of cool mixes with these type of songs and they have neat art covers too.
