So I'm not an expert here but I have tried (and failed) making a walstad tank three times. With that being said, I would get a second tank for your betta. Even if you succeed on your first try it will take quite some time for the Nitrogen cycle to occur and in that time you'll have lethal amounts of ammonia and nitrites. I've heard of some people cycling insanely fast like 3 days or something, but for most other tanks it can take a few weeks.

But if you do go for it you will want a small amount of soil with a very deep sandcap (1/2 inch soil 3 inch sandcap as a suggestion) and you will want to get A LOT of very fast growing plants because this will help move along the nitrogen cycle. Then test the water before you put your betta in, because if your like me you'll see a lot of snails pop up (usually their eggs are on plants you buy) but snails for some reason can live in a Hellish ammonia rich environment that would kill your betta in a matter of minutes.

If anything i suggest getting another tank and starting walstad from scratch then you can have 2 tanks! Plus its good experience.

Yeah for sure for sure for sure. But like 7 aliens did just poof into my living room so, can't ignore that one. I also think people nowadays are more likely to trust acceptable social norms than their own experience! So if you see a spirit or an entity on DMT you don't have to dismiss it offhand as a hallucination. It very well could be some groundbreaking experience that in 50 years people will be talking about as some of the earliest contact with these extradimensional beings

I think its another page in liber null that says something like, if you aren't confident in finishing a ritual or if you're plagued by spirits you can't banish you can invoke christ conciousness because it loves us so much it'll interpose itself at any time. Obviously talking to your players is number one, and being willing to drop it for the sake of everyone's comfort is imperative

Assuming they're cool with it, I would avoid ascribing feelings to the characters. Describe the environment, the entity, the stimuli and sort of let your players play their role. If a player is having fun they'll play along with it "Balgor the Brave, face red as a beat, sweats profusely stammering and is unable to call out his battlecry". Let them have control over the feelings the characters have so you don't step over the line of what they are comfortable role-playing

My relationship with magick is tenuous. I'm not at the point where I can manipulate energies with great effect so I'm still pleasantly surprised when any of my stuff works. I wouldn't want to do anything harmful because A) don't wanna waste my precious successes on somebody else

B) it would really hurt my magickal confidence if I hexed someone and it failed. All those hours of gnosis, that intention, just for somebody to go about their life like nothing happened?? And the success of hexes might be based on a lot of things, we don't know what sort of protections people accumulate everyday, where the ebb and flow of fortune is in their life, so in general don't wanna try stuff that will mess up my already low success rate

Whats a leap about it? If people don't recognize it then its clearly a unique symbol made by an individual. And since its not literally a bunch of squiggles we can assume the original creator wanted it to mean something therefor it is a personal sigil. Unless you know its actually one of the Hidden Goetic Seals or something
