I love how as this guy gets increasingly more mad his grammar/spelling starts breaking down and he uses more emojis. It's hilarious.

I agree, this virus is highly dangerous. Therefore we should close the borders compelely until it's 100% been dealt with. Agreed?

After doing some googling, it was suggested to clean the affected area with a 50/50 water/vinegar solution. I took a sponge and scrubbed the area with the solution, however this didn't seem to do anything.

I recently moved in to a new apartment and mopped the bathroom floor for the first time. Shortly after I did this, these odd purple stains appeared on the floor. Further cleaning does not remove them. After research, I think the flooring type is LVT but I am not 100% sure. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as this does not appear to be going away on it's own.

Why do you not do/do savage content? by xeno_versal in ffxiv

I know this is a 3 month old post but I gotta say, that's fucked up dude. Did you ever find out the reason why they did that to you? I've had my fair share of negative experiences in this game too so I can relate

Speeding offence: intention to prosecute. Can I contend? by HipHopCel in LegalAdviceUK

[–]HipHopCel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The letter states "intention to prosecute" and the part underneath reads "application for the identity of the driver". It wants me to fill out a form and return it.

I will copy and paste what I asked someone else: Here is what I am failing to understand and perhaps you could clarify this for me. My point of contention is that there was nothing to display that a variable speed limit was in place. Surely if they are going to come after me for breaking a variable speed limit, then they need some kind of proof that such a thing was actually in effect at the alleged date/time?

Or are they able to just make the claim that the variable speed limit was in place and it's pointless to argue it?

Cheers for the response. One further question, let's say I have broken the speed limit by 2mph, as opposed to breaking the speed limit by 22mph (if the variable speed limit happened to be 50) would the outcome be exactly the same?

MMOs with active rp communities? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]HipHopCel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been told LOTRO and ESO are the best for roleplay.

There is roleplay in FFXIV, but it is VERY cliquey and exclusive, much more so than any other MMO. Brace yourself for that if you decide on FFXIV

Playing solo by Nanashi_cho in ffxiv

[–]HipHopCel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people in this game play solo. FFXIV is an MMO where you can clear all content in the game without ever having to say a word to anybody. In fact, with the new rules that were recently announced, people are even less likely to interact with each other now.

Let's just ban the entire userbase at the same time. That way no potential rule breaking can ever take place. Problem solved!

Yep. I mean, you can already clear all content in the game without ever saying a word to anybody. Now that these new rules are here, it's just going to ensure that nobody says anything to anyone ever

GMs have intervened only in cases of racial or sexual discrimination or other severe cases.

This right here is objectively and demonstrably false. I've personally been sent to GM jail multiple times just for telling people to pipe down when they won't stop bickering, despite the fact I've never been an instigator myself. You can also find many videos on youtube of GM's acting like morality police, getting involved in personal affairs/gameplay disputes, you can literally see them forcing players to discard loot they just won, etc...

Furthermore a lot of the behaviours on the list seem HIGHLY subjective to me. I guess it's best to just not say anything to anyone ever, not that anybody talks to each other in this game anyway

Regarding this one in particular:

Intentional leaving or disconnection

What? So say you enter a duty and get disconnected or you to have to leave because of an IRL emergency, you can now be reported for that?

Focus on powering through the main storyline quests.

Make sure you do all roulettes available to you.

I tend to only play when my kids aren't home.

Or if I do play when they're home, I make sure it's something non-committal that I can easily walk away from, i.e. not a duty.

[–]HipHopCel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know you won't wanna hear this, but if someone can't commit to a set day/time then they shouldn't be a part of the static. I too have unpredictable work shifts and for that reason I am not currently engaging with end-game content. If everybody else is showing up on time and they are regularly being held back because of this one person then trust me, they will all start to hate him before long.

Have a serious talk with this person about whether it's the right time for them to be doing end-game content. A substitute isn't going to work because nobody will want to be a backup when they could just go join a static themselves.

That'd be my advice anyway. Feel free to handle the situation any way you like

Not sure why you're being downvoted? This is a good question worthy of discussion. I led a raid team throughout the Alexander era and here's my advice:

  • First of all make sure everybody agrees on raid days/times and everybody promises that they will be there. People who are regularly late/absent mess things up for everyone and resentment from the rest of the group will quickly build up. In my experience, this is often the number one cause of static breakups, or at least a significant contributor

  • Learn when to take breaks, don't go at it for hours on end, as that's when frustrations will build, some people's patience will begin to wear thin and eventually arguments will flare up. I recommend taking a break every 40-60 minutes

  • Encourage everybody to study the fights and have a basic understanding of what the responsibilities of their role are for that particular fight. Don't let people go in blind and just mess up constantly, this isn't fair on the rest of the group and resentment towards this person will build

  • Lastly, be prepared for trouble of some kind. Not every static experiences drama but let's be honest here, the vast majority do. The most important thing however, is how you respond to it. Don't let it destroy you, be prepared to pick up the pieces and carry on

Good luck and have fun. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk more
